Sizing help
Great bibs. Went with these over a couple different models. The i2's are a little cheaper but I liked this style slightly better in the jacket. Also bought the i3 jacket. The i4 and i5 are nice but didn't want to spend that much.I had the most trouble fiding sizing information. Frabill's site had me questioning even more. Maybe this post will help someone decide better.I am 6'1" and weight 183 lbs. Fairly decent shape, and wear a 34x34 in jeans. I went with the large because of the inseam of 34. I believe the medium was 32, and I hate pants that are short. Well the larges are plenty big! I could weight 300lbs and pretty sure they'd still have room in front in the stomach. It's only nice for putting on over cloths and being able to reach into your jean pockets underneath. Plenty of room for layers, but I think the mediums would have been short. The length of these is perfect. Yes the shoulder straps are adjustable but the crotch kind of needs to be where it should be.Jacket is the exact same way, went with the large, but probably would have fit in the medium. Went large because of the sleeve length. That is perfect, but enough room in the jacket for another 100 lbs of stomach. Oh well, I'll stick with these. Hope this review helps someone on sizing. It would have been nice to be able to try them on first but didn't have anything local.

Design flaws and they don't make them like use too!
I have a older pair of Frabill bibs so I am comparing to their previous design for this review and has the saying goes "They don't make them like they use to". My first pair had little to no insulation. So I decided to buy a new pair with some. They do have have insulation and thicker knee pads. Now the cons: material used seems thinner and not as durable. They removed the zipper flap cover and installed a piece of material inside. With that in place the second lower zipper is now useless. I use the lower zipper for ventilation and when going to the restroom. They replace the buckles on the shoulder straps with a slide lock design now it hard to put them on and take them off plus if you need to access your inside clothes it now harder. Straps are cheaper material. Side hand pockets are lower and in a uncomfortable position. D ring used for clipping on your uv flash light is to high and not close to the man pocket so you would need a very long string on your flash which would now be in the way. They did away with the extra pocket near the main zipper which was great for holding your phone for easy access and keeping it secure.

Purchase for a Friend and Proud of It !!
A friend mentioned Ice Fishing Bibs, instead of using her Snowmobiling Bibs ....I searched online for a price that she could afford and crossing my fingers when she tried them on.She had the biggest smile on her face when ..These bibs fit her perfect (size ordered that she normally wears),She was happy with the color black and (grey on backside not shown in picture, tho) -she wanted all black.and the Extra Pockets that her snowmobiling bibs do not have are great for ice fishing tools.All-In-All .... She's worn them every ice fishing day that she's been out since she got them.

No more cold wet knees on the ice
These are the first pair of ice fishing bibs I have owned, but they have really changed the experience this season. I like to fish from a kneeling position, which used to mean that my knees would be soaked and frozen even when wearing my snow pants or bibs. This is not the case anymore....these bibs are truly waterproof and the padding helps to keep my knees from aching from the cold. I'm about 6'3", 200lbs and a Large fits well. I wear several layers under them, and they're not too snug through the gut area. XL would have likely worked fine as well, but may have proved too bulky.

Solid value
Very nice warm bib. Use for bass fishing. Living in the south we don’t get too many freezing days on the water but when it happens this bib really did it’s job. For the price I highly recommend it.

No pee zipper!
Very good pants, worth the money. The one downside is like other reviews, there is no fly to take a leak...but the straps are stretchy enough to pull them down. I thought about cutting the flap that covers it, but i didn’t because it isnt that bad to just pull them down. Overall great pants with a minnor issue they hopefully fix in the future!

Best piece of ice fishing equipment you could ever own!
I really like these bibs for ice fishing. I did a lot of research and for my dollar I thought this would be the Best Buy. I am really glad I did. They have everything I was looking for including large easy to access Pockets, hand warmer Pockets, ice pick safety tool holders ,D rings, large knee padded areas and seat padding. They are large enough to wear anything you would like to under them. They are also really warm and water and wind resistant. I would definitely recommend these, can't believe I ever went without them!

Ok for the price
The bibs are quite warm. you dont have to remove them to urinate. The straps are elasticized, just unzip the zipper and pull down. Pretty simple if you have a brain. Not floatation type, but I dont fish with less than safe ice, so not a big worry, but also the reason for the lower rating. For the price suits my budget fine. Extra Padded rear and knees. Been out in -10 and were plenty warm, And they are $20 cheaper then a year ago.

moving easy and comfortable
I will try and focus my review on size and fit as I just received them and tried them on and this is what I was most concerned about. Heading out ice fishing this week will try and add to the review after a 3 days of use on the ice.Details:Height: 5’ 6”Weight: ~185lbsPurchased: Frabill i3 Medium Size, BlackGeneral Points:1. Fit is similar to what other’s have said. Chest part sits lower than you would think (just below your pecks) but a quick image search and it seems to sit similar to any marketing/ model photos so no real surprise just had a different fit in my mind.2. Inseam is a little high, but the straps can be adjusted to resolve this issue.3. Pant length is a “bit long” out of boots (dragging), but when in your boots fits perfectly giving you some room and lose material to make walking, bending, moving easy and comfortable.4. Fits over low cut, large (wide/fat) Baffin outdoor -40 boot perfectly.5. I was able to layer on (underneath the bib) Legs: Long underwear, sweat pants. Chest: 2 t-shirts, 2 long sleeve shirts, 1 sweater and 1 soft shell coat from MEC. I am confident I could layer a bit more under and will maintain a comfortable fit. This is nice as the bibs keep everything close to your body and tucked together keeping a slim profile for fishing/ hole hoping moving around on the ice or boat IMO.6. These are not floatation pants (to answer another question elsewhere). They have vented cuffs at your boot bottom to let water out should you fall in and need to climb out of the ice. They are very light though. That’s about all I can think of immediately. Will update below once I have worn them. 4 stars for fit, comfort, perceived durability and overall features (vents, water vents, pockets, etc...)

Great Bibs!
Wore this item for the first time this past weekend. Wasn't terribly cold, only about -24 with the wind chill; but for sure the bibs kept me warm, as I didn't need to zip the jacket up. Underneath was wearing a base layer of polypro. long-johns, and a pair of jogging pants. Love the padded knees and waterproof material as I spent a lot of time on my knees taking care of tip-ups for my four grandkids.I comparison shopped for these bibs, and all the reviews I read were right on - this is a quality piece of ice-fishing clothing at an affordable price. The reason I didn't give five stars to the Frabill 13 bibs was because, as a guy, I sure would appreciate a zipper located where a zipper is required!

BEST FISHING PANTS ON THE PLANET
Excellent quality, exact fit, and approved for elements above the Arctic Circle where we fish n hunt.I highly recommend these bib pants.I'm 5'11" tall and 185lbs, I bought a Medium and they fit just right, but if I wanted to add a base and mid layer underneath I would go with a Large. Most likely will purchase a Large pair as well.Happy hardwater fishing folks!
