ET-60 ET60 Lens Hood for CANON EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS

This lens hood fits fine both directions with no vignetting on my Canon 55-250 lens. The price is much better than a Canon model. A solid look to it so it should last for a long time.

This is the same review that I did for my 17-85 lens hood. The exact comments apply:I received this a few days ago and am pleased with the lens hood. It has a nice snug fit on my Canon 17-85 lens. For those not familiar with this hood, the lens has a notch for it so you place the hood over the lens and give it a quarter turn to lock it into place. The hood can be reversed on the lens for easy storage. I wasn't sure if it would do this, so that was an added bonus. Obviously, it will make the lens a little wider if you put it in your bag this way, but it's the easiest way to keep the hood with the lens. In addition, I can attach my lens cap with the hood in place, but those with thick fingers might find this a little hard to do.I plan to buy these hoods for all my lenses after seeing how well this one worked. The plastic is a little thin (you can definitely flex it). But I haven't seen the same hood from Canon so I don't know how this compares to the real deal. What I can say is that it shades the sun, which is what it needs to do, and for the price, I'm very happy with what I got.

I haven't noticed anything negative about this hood. I use it mostly on my 55-250mm lens. I like to take photos of jets and small aircraft flying over my house. I never get reflections to the hood must be doing it's job. And a value price. Great product.

This lens hood looks fine, but it cracked the very first time we used it. I guess you get what you pay for. I'll be getting a different one next time.

It's essential. It fits & installs well. It works. If it does not break in the next year, it is a very good choice for anyone needing a lens hood for a 55mm Canon EF lens.

This is a nice hood for a fantastic price. I got this after trying to use a tulip lens and found that the tulip lens didn't cut glare like I wanted it to. This lens is much nice cuts glare like a pro and turns around to store on the lens itself. You can't go wrong with this hood for the price.

Fit is not as perfect as original canon hood but good enough at that price.

Fragile. I ordered 2 of these. One was cracked. It doesn't fit very well either.Delivery was fast, though.

Didn't fit very well, but with a little bit of pushing it went on okay.
