Awful, disappointing, worthless--avoid!
Avoid this horrible compilation of 3 interviews, 2 of which can be found ad nauseum on YouTube and in better quality. There is no sequence, rhyme or reason to this "collection." True fans would understand the awful addiction that Mr. Bowie suffered from during the time he was interviewed by Dick Cavett; but anyone who is just learning about him would see an unfair, out of context misrepresentation of a man consumed by his fears of inadequacy. To balance off this horrific (and extremely long and painful) portrayal, there should have been interviews from the Berlin days, the triumphs of Mr. Bowie overcoming his demons, his many and varied acting successes (film and Broadway). Instead, the timeline jumps around to suit the "producer's" frenetic whims and damages the true essence of what and who this brilliant man truly was.I'll file this worthless, amateurish DVD in the dustbin and continue to cherry-pick (from YouTube and other resources) the interviews that really show Mr. Bowie's brilliance, wit, and creative genius. I'd recommend that anyone who is just now learning about this outstanding man's life do the same.

Don't Bother - Not Recommended
This is NOT recommended. It's a combination of three YouTube videos created in what looks like iMovie. The first one is the only reason I gave it two stars instead of just one --I'd not seen it but you can easily find it. It's an interview in an art gallery in 1995. The second one is the Dick Cavette interview and does not contain any of the actual musical performances. Then it goes to 1987 and that interview is fairly interesting but again easily found on YouTube. There are a bunch of these surfacing. This one is packaged very slick and looks like a real DVD documentary on the outside. It's just stuff you can see on the web. My opinion -- don't buy. I'd have given it one star but I just can't rate anything Bowie as "I hate it."

Absolutley disappointed
Absolute disappointment. Bought for my mom for a christmas present only to find it didn't work because if stupid region coding. I shouldnt have to dig through the product description to find out that its german and be told that it would work in a computer, I know it sounds weird but my mom doesnt have a computer, she doesnt have internet.

PAL video generally can't be played in North America
Be warned! This disc is a European import. It's region free, but the video is in the PAL broadcast standard, which means I can only play it on my computer; neither of my Blu-ray players can play back PAL video. This information is in the description, but not featured prominently enough, otherwise I probably wouldn't have bought it.Also, half the reviews here seem to be for a different disc entirely. This is Bowie's 1988 Glass Spider concert, not a collection of interviews.

Love all things Bowie
Nice collection of television interviews. I only wish these DVDs that are coming out includes the performances. It's always interesting to hear what he had to say, but we loved him for the music he created.

Wonderful show
This is my favourite of the Bowie dvd's.Instead of just Bowie and his band you have a variety of performers on stage(dancers, acrobatics, costumed actors etc)performing during a lot of the songs-found it very entertaining with plenty to watch and be entertained during the music. Not to mention the bonus of Peter Frampton on guitar throughout!

Poor Quality
While the actual concert is good (what Bowie concert isn't ?!) the quality of this DVD is poorer than the original VHS videos I bought 20 years ago when it was first released. So while my concerts catalogue is now upto date on DVD format its a shame the digital copy isn't better.
