Don't make the same mistake I did!
This timer is QUALITY!I didn't really appreciate the quality of this timer until I tried to be cheap and buy a pack of 4 timers for the same price. BIG MISTAKE!The less expensive timers were downright CHEAP in terms of quality. The buttons are hard to push, the screen doesn't have good contrast. It's hard to reset them back to 00:00.On the other hand, this time has earned my respect. Just a light touch lets you change the time and start or stop it.Another light tough across two buttons lets you reset it to 00:00.It's not the end of the world, but I tried to go cheap and I got burned. I couldn't recommend this timer more highly. To be clear: It's not that its got fancy features. It's just a basic timer, but where "dollar store" timers fail, this timer is true quality.

The best kitchen timer on the market.
This is the best timer I have ever used and I have two of them in my kitchen. What I like best is the size, it's very easy to see. It counts up or count down. It's easy to set, it rings until you stop it, it's easy to reset. It takes batteries that are easy to get. It's lasted for years.

Great multi-use timer
Durable, easy to read timer with good alarm volume. Great to use for cooking, napping, watering the garden, even keeping track of laundry in another room / floor level

So far so good.
Love this timer. It works good and very visible numbers. I dont like that it does not have an off switch. I assume this has very low battery consumption, but only time will tell. So far so good. (Only 2 weeks old i think?)

Magnetic timer
Works well. Gave 4 stars because the buzzer could be louder.

Great timers
I love these kitchen timers. The display numbers are large, you can read them across the room. The beep beep is loud. The buttons are easy to use. They can sit on the counter, or stick to steel, like the fridge. Try not to drop them, or they will break; I've broken several, but I always get the same brand, love them.

Poorly-made junk
There seemed to be a reasonable number of positive reviews, so I took a chance and ordered one to send to a friend who needs the large digits to see the timer when not wearing her glasses. I wasn't expecting it to be sturdily built or to last for decades, but I was expecting it to at least work out of the box. I sent her the timer without opening it, and when she got it, she told me it was completely DOA. Unresponsive to anything. Tried a fresh battery - no difference. It would end up costing more for her to mail it back to me in order to return it to Amazon than would be worthwhile. So I foolishly decided the dud timer was a fluke and ordered a second one, because I really liked the display & simple, functional design. This time, I tried it myself before giving it away, and sure enough, the second one was broken as well. It at least displayed numbers on the LCD panel and allowed a time to be set, but when I press the Start/Stop button, it counts down to zero and immediately starts counting up again. Odd. I suppose I can see why you might want that function at times, but as the unalterable default? Good way to run down a battery, too, if you expect it to turn itself off after beeping, and don't notice that it is an ADHD timer. And there's the real rub - beeping: it never beeps. At all. Not even a peep or a whimper. Never makes any sound whatsoever, under any circumstances. Tried removing & reinserting the battery a few times to see if rebooting its hyperactive little mind would do anything constructive, but no such luck. SO this one, at least, is going back to Amazon. I decided to try the Robic Three Memory Timer next, as the other timers with similar displays had even worse reviews that the CDN, and the Robic allows the alarm level to be adjusted and can remember three intervals, which could be useful. And it doesn't seem to make unfortunate assumptions about the manner in which it will be used. Fingers tightly crossed...

One Tough Timer
I purchased this timer in 2012. Today, January of 2025, it quit. It lasted through multiple drops on tile floor and some abuse from two grandchildren. One of the side pieces fell off, but it kept on working. If it is manufactured the same way today as when I bought it, it is an excellent purchase!
