Every day your child is taking BIG STEPS forwardโand preschool is one of them. This colorful board book, with vibrant art, cool novelty features, and valuable tips for parents on every page, helps them adjust to the changes. Itโs Benโs first day at preschoolโwhat will it be like? Heโs a little nervous, but this lift-the-flap board book shows him, and young readers, that thereโs nothing to be afraid of! It gives a comforting glimpse into what life at school will be like, from meeting the teacher to fun activities to making new friends. Review: Great for getting ready for preschool - We bought three books to ease my son's transition to preschool and we liked this one the best. It addresses a bit of the first day nerves but doesn't dwell, and instead focuses on the fun activities at preschool with lots of interactive flaps. Great book! Review: Most loved preschool book - I bought a few preschool-related books for my daughter, who recently turned 3 years old and has a rare chromosome disorder that causes developmental delays and autism. She seems to respond better to new things when she has had a chance to "read" books on the topic repeatedly beforehand. Although COVID prevented her from attending her new preschool program for children with disabilities this past semester, we had bought this book to help prepare her for the idea. She LOVES this book. She wants to read it daily. She has memorized the children's names and likes to talk about each of them. Because my daughter is used to being with me 24/7, we liked how the last page emphasizes how Ben had a lot of fun at preschool and then it was time to go home (like a first-then directive, to which my daughter responds well). My daughter recites that part; I think it helped her understand and give her comfort knowing that there is a predictable end to the school session when we will pick her up. She loves this book so much that I decided to purchase two others from the same author, and she loves THOSE so much that I will probably end up buying more!

Encourages Conversation with Preschooler
My 3 year old was starting preschool and I wanted a book to help introduce the concept to him. This book did just that, but also made it fun with the interactive pages. He loves it! I also love that it encourages conversation with him about concepts we have not talked about before since they are new to him. The illustrations are colorful, fun, but not too busy. The preschool concepts introduced are general preschool activities and you can alter your conversations to fit how your child experiences preschool. We continue to read this book even after preschool has started!

The only book youโll need to buy to help prepare your child for preschool!
This book was the best book to prepare my daughter for preschool. I ordered several other ones because she seems to understand new concepts a lot better when we read about them and look at pictures. It has all the important (somewhat universal) preschool concepts in it (drop off, teacher, cubby, circle time, etc. ) as well as flaps and wheels to turn to make the book come to life and interactive. highly recommend this one!

The best preschool intro book weโve found
This was the perfect book for our 2.5 year old toddler to help her learn about preschool. Itโs short, simple, and has really fun interactive pages. The illustrations are vibrant and modern. Through this book alone (and our own descriptions) our kid is excited to start preschool!

Great book to prepare little ones for school.
Very good book to read before and during the first few weeks of preschool. Helps them get excited about school! Used with an autistic three year old, he enjoys it a lot, but skips some pages because he is impatient, lol! However, every page has something wonderful on it. Someday soon we will be able to get through the whole book, I hope!

Lasting book
I purchased this for a grandchild two months ago. I thought it would be just another book on the shelf because I send her plenty of variety. To my surprise, I learned she asks her mother to read it frequently and took it for show and tell to preschool. She read it to her classmates showing them the pictures as if she was an older person reading it. Now the words were not really read, but showing the book and telling its story captivated her group and made me happy that it was meaningful to her. Preschool taped it and I got to see it even though COVID has kept us apart for months. The book is engaging.

My Granddaughter will be going to VPK - A must buy and read
I'm pleasantly happy with this book. I wanted my son and d.i.l. to begin reading it to her now (school starts in Aug) to get her comfortable. So far it seems to be working.
