Echo Valley 8105 10-Inch Glass Gazing Globe, Red

So pretty, love the color, so sad wjen I found it broken on my grass because of the strong winds we have here. Breaks easy bc it's a thin mirror. I bought others that are metal when tjey fall they don't break. Very pretty color

Had this product delivered a month ago and immediately put it out in my garden. It was in a partially shaded area, surrounded by flowers, away from the sidewalk and road where any people or car flung debris could hit it. It's been sunny, with occasional, normal rain since putting it out, with temperatures in the 70s/80s. The other day while gardening I noticed a couple hairline cracks had started to form in the mirror glaze, but just assumed that was a minor defect. The next morning when I left for work I saw that it had literally exploded. There were glass shards in all directions. It wasn't under a tree or anywhere where something could have hit it, but I double check to be sure.Im assuming it got too hot, but there were no warnings about avoiding sun exposure or anything. Now I have the very fun adventure of finding shrapnel in my garden and a waste or money for a defective product.I reached out to the manufacturer and got no response.

I bought teal and it’s VERY PRETTY! It’s been outside for a while now and it’s still pretty.

It was a present and I was hero again. I’m glad she liked it so much.

The globe was very nice, aside from a scratch on the top that I noticed. That's why I couldn't give it five stars. I've decided to keep it and avoid the return hassle. When you pay full price for an item you shouldn't get something with a flaw. Before it is sent out, I suggest taking it out of the box and looking it over carefully and you'll have a more satisfied customer! I recently experienced this same lack of quality checking from a non Amazon mail-order retailer and experienced the same complaint. Is it worth hoping the customer will not notice? I don't think so, if they decide not to do business with them again. Please do a better job of inspecting the product for shipment before it is packaged.

Just what i needed for the yard nice size and good price

This gazing ball was disappointing. I was looking forward to receiving this so much but when it arrived it was scratched and dimpled. It was also so much lighter than my other glass gazing balls.

This item was a huge disappointment. More than 15 years ago, I purchased a glass gazing globe from a catalog. It was heavy blown glass with silver on the inside. I still have it, but the silver is starting to peel away after years of being outside, so I bought this item to replace it. This gazing globe was less than half the weight. I set it in the garden on a small pedestal with a socket. After two nights, I woke to find it cracked in pieces. I do not know if a raccoon wrestled it out of the pedestal, or it just burst. It does not appear that anything fell on it. From the broken pieces, I could tell how much thinner these walls were than the old gazing ball. I still had the old gazing ball, and so it is now back on the pedestal with the de-silvered side turned toward the back. Next time, I will not buy on-line. I want to see and feel the weight. One cannot do that on-line.

Looks great in garden

I was pleased when the ball was first delivered but after a few months the shine started to fade. Now after 5 months the ball looks like crap since the silvering is all coming off the inside of the ball. Don't be swayed by reviews written shortly after delivery. A stainless steel ball "may possibly" stand up better.
