I wanted something that could actually teach a child how to make these. I hunted and read many reviews until I found this book, and I am not disappointed. These are real instructions. They are clear enough for beginners and easy to follow. The diagrams are nice and big, showing exactly how to tie each knot. The supplies with it are, of course, just to get you started. But embroidery thread is cheap. I bought this book and a big package of embroidery thread to make a full kit, and the combination is much more useful than all those other overpriced kits without instructions. Kids who get those other kits probably just end up stringing beads because they don't know what else to do with them. I wanted something that would really teach how to make the knotted/woven bracelets I had so much fun with when I was a kid. This book shows how to make a variety of different friendship bracelets. They are arranged with the easiest designs first, and they gradually get harder with the most complex designs at the back.
