Threadsmiths Hydrophobic Stain-Resistant Dress Shirt White

BRUH! THIS SHIRT IS HONESTLY A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY! IF I WERE YOU I'D HIGHLY SUGGEST TO FIND A DIFFERENT BRAND/COMPANY. TO BEGIN THEY CHARGE YOU DAMN NEAR 100$ FOR A FRIGGN DRESS SHIRT, FOR THE PRICE YOU'RE PAYING YOU'D EXPECT MIRACLES! RIGHT?! WELL DON'T GET YOUR HOPES UP BECAUSE YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED. I LITERALLY ONLY WORE THE SHIRT FOR 4 HOURS (DURING MY SHIFT) AND IT DID NOTHING IT'S SAID TO DO. THE SWEAT SEEPED THROUGH IN NO TIME! ONCE I STARTED SWEATING. THE COLLAR IS ALREADY STARTING TO DINGE (RING AROUND THE COLLAR) AND I TRULY ONLY HAVE WORN IT FOR 4HOURS! STRAIT WASTE OF MONEY

This shirt repels water but is not immune from sweat stains around the collar. I bought this shirt well aware that it might not resist neck stains so well but I was not prepared for it to become unwearable so quickly. I was in the habit of buying $20 bargin-store white shirts knowing I could keep them clean enough to last 8-12 months before the yellowing neck stain was too much. This shirt lasted 6 wearings (over the period of 3 months) with obvious stains I cannot remove despite following Threadsmith's best directions.Bottom line: I spent $90 for a shirt that became unwearable in 6 washings. I can spend $20 on a shirt that lasts three times longer.Also to note: Following Threadsmiths washing directions this shirt SHRUNK. $20 white shirts don't do this, even when carelessly washed with the other laundry.

Shirts are okay. Agree with another reviewer--if the fabric is hydrophobic it is likely to be highly lipophilic, which means oil-based stains may be a big problem. I'm not sure they are worth the trouble unless you spill coke on yourself a lot. In addition, I ordered two shirts--one was packaged normally and professionally, while the other was a mess, just folded up in a thin plastic bag. Not very professional and embarrassing to send the two different shirts to the same customer. Presumably one was returned or a sample.

Cannot get a lipstick stain out of collar after the first use (shouldn't have been stained at all, right). 89 dollars down the drain.

My boyfriend is pretty average in build. 5'11 and around 175 lbs. Fits perfectly and really works for my clumsy guy!

 I was lucky enough to review the 3 different products from Threadsmiths and I am officially sold on it!!! Now my review here will be mainly focused on the dress shirt but I had also reviewed the polo and simple t-shirt from Threadsmiths.SIZE: Thankfully, unlike the t-shirt, the dress shirt size chart is accurate and on the spot. I know that the manufacturer is originally from Australia and I am assuming their size charts are slightly different from the shirts we have here in the US.QUALITY: The material is a patented hydrophobic cotton which repels any liquid based stains which easily come off with just water. I am honestly really impressed with the material.DESIGN: This looks just as good as any high end dress shirt and the only thing I wish they had improved on was the collar. The collar for some reason is very short compared to most of my modern and brand name dress shirts.Positive things to note: This is the ultimate dress shirt for weddings and formal events. The fact that you wont have to worry about stains on your shirt makes it a blessing. I cant tell you how many times I have had food or drinks spilt on me. The other plus is the sweat spots that may show when wearing a suit or sports coat on top, thats not an issue in my case.All things considered, I think this is an excellent purchase. The only concern I would have it how long the hydrophobicity (if that's even a word) will last. Remember to air dry the shirts after the first few washes (recommended by the manufacturer).I received the following item at a reduced price in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. All opinions are my own.

 My top 5 thoughts:- Breathable--feels like a normal shirt.- Stiff collar is excellent for bow ties or ties.- Spilled coffee on it, and while most of it spilled off, there was still a small stain (which is why they say it's not "stain proof." It just repels liquids (and does so very well in my humble opinion).- Washed according the directions (cold water, no bleach, tumble dry normal, not fabric softeners) and it STILL works. I don't know how, but it does.- Rather expensive for a dress shirt (compared to some normally priced ones at Costco), but I suppose it's to be expected with how atypical it is. The Costco shirts certainly don't repel water.My sizing for reference: I'm 6'1", 175lbs. I got a large. The length is perfect (entire thing and sleeves), though the neck was a bit big on me (I'm a skinny fellow).5/5 stars.
