Back in the 1970's, during the Golden Age of Porn, Misty Beethoven was considered a classic. 30 plus years later, veteran performer and director Veronica Hart has re-envisioned the classic tale in a manner not even the original director/writer, Henry Paris, would have imagined...as a musical. Reality Entertainment, in conjunction with VCA Pictures remake of the 1976 classic film on DVD, has now released the soundtrack, the hilarious and most enjoyable sings to this industry classic. VCA Pictures is one of the leading companies in the adult film business. In the same way that the Rocky Horror Picture Show opened up new arenas for rock and roll music, Misty Beethoven, The Musical is adding yet more elements. The film and sound track is star studded with some of the biggest names in the modern adult market, including Sunset Thomas, Randy Spears and Chloe, bringing a 30 year old tale into the 21st century through the cast and the music. Featuring ten original songs (some done in varying versions) performed by the cast, Misty Beethoven,The Musical combines choreography, music and sexual fireworks. From a musical standpoint, the songs offer some great, hard-rocking melodies combined with explicit and fun lyrics. The music could stand up on its own, but as the soundtrack to this timeless film, it is even more powerful and meaningful. www.reality-entertainment.comThis product is manufactured on demand using CD-R recordable media. .com's standard return policy will apply.

For an Adult Film Soundtrack It's Pretty Good
I've never seen the original "The Opening of Misty Beethoven" and only the musical remake "Misty Beethoven: The Musical", but I found the soundtrack at a local store, and thought, why not? I'm actually happy with the purchase. While the music isn't always the best sounding, most of the songs are entertaining (albiet very dirty), and a few of them even are as good as catchy. The best song has to be "Shoulda Been Mine" which is performed by Evan Stone, and the runner up would be "Two Holes" performed by Julie Meadows. While they aren't the best singers, they do what they can, and the songs all have energy, and are compitently written, and performed. For the price, and the novelty of the item, I would recomend it. Just keep it away from the children (the Tangos and A Little Class are enough to earn this CD a big ol' Explicit Lyrics sticker on their own). The movie itself, which I'll review since there is no way to do that on Amazon otherwise, is very mediocre. The acting is decent, and the direction is strong, but the movie feels very muddled, and one of the reasons is because the movie never tries to balance the adult material with the musical material or the dialogue and comedy. Now, I'm this is an adult film, so the material has to be there, but it never fits in to the movie. It felt like the writer had an idea for one movie, and the director had an idea for another, and because of that things kind of fell on their faces. From what I heard, the original, which featured almost constant adult material, was very well made despite that because it kept the material in the realm of the film. This movie does not however. I recomend the soundtrack, but not really the movie.
