Formaldehyde? Not according to the Organic Salon Product Website
At the Organic Salon Product Website it specifically states that there is no formaldehyde on the product. It does say that there is hydrolyzed keratin in the product. I looked at the EWG website and this product was not listed in their database. The Simply Organics line is listed in the database with limited information, most products rated "green" (low risk). I believe the issue with the keratin is how the keratin is extracted and stabilized? Katie Couric has an excellent article on the issue with Brazillian hair straightening treatments and alternative recommendations titled, "Warning, A Must-Read Before Going to a Hair Salon" that you can find by searching Google.

Not good this is one of the brands that hides formaldehyde.You can look it up on the Environmental Working Group web page.[...]
