Does a Great Job for a Small Light
I've been waiting to do this review until I switched to the bloom cycle to see how it would perform in all modes.I was a little skeptical when I first got this light since it's a pretty small. This was my first indoor grow and to me lighting is the number one factor when you want to imitate Mother Nature. But based on the reviews and this model having the third chip I decided it was a good fit and I have not looked back.So far it has performed very well for me in a 4x8 foot custom grow room/tent. I should say "they" have performed very well for me since I have purchased three in total. I had all three going when the tent was only 4x6 and it got a bit warm when I switched them to bloom mode, so I moved it down to just two and it worked well. Once I moved to 4x8 I went back to all three lights and everything is groovy. It is super bright, which I know is not really a good indicator of light intensity but I have no means of measuring PAR levels right now. What I do know is the plants are growing great and exhibiting no signs of insufficient lighting. There is dense growth well inside of the plant too so the penetration is very good. I have seen plants under HPS lights with a lot less dense growth. The plants are green and dense all the way to the edges of the grow space. I have flat white walls on two sides with a 95% reflective fabric making up the other two walls and floor. The plants are now about three feet tall and and I have the lights about 24 inches above the canopy and the light penetrates down through with no issues. Money was not really an issue for me so I opted for the 1500 Watt figuring the more the better and also after getting some feedback from a few reviewers and the manufacturer too. Although at this price it was the only 3 chip LED model out there and I wanted the third chip. The technology makes good sense to me.Switching from grow to bloom is very easy with the two toggles and the different light spectrum produced look intense. The fact they can be daisy chained is real nice too. I installed a dedicated 20 amp circuit and have a 1700W timer which handles the three light load well including two fans. The cables and pulley system are of very good quality too so what comes with the light makes it a pretty complete package. Oh and the packaging they come in is excellent and worth keeping for future storage.I suspect I will be very happy at harvest time. I plan to purchase a fourth light because I anticipate having to expand the room one more time....which would not be the case if the lights were not performing well.I highly recommend these lights for any serious indoor growers. Worth every dime.Update 2/12/19: I recently purchased two more of these lights in the 1000w size. Actually one from another manufacturer as it was less expensive, but the exact same light just with a different brand. In total I have three 1500W and two 1000W on one 20 AMP dedicated circuit on a timer rated at 1725W. I can even add two more of the 1000W and still be under the 1725W rating on the timer and certainly within a safe draw on the 120V 20A circuit. It ends up the small form factor works out well for me in my grow tent which is about 5x12. I still have room for two more plants and plan to expand on the next grow leaving an isle between then plants to help facilitate watering and caring for my ladies. So that makes the small form factor work well for my setup. A larger square light would limit me to growing the plants in a box setup making it harder to do maintenance. So in the end these lights are working out perfectly. It does require good canopy care to ensure they penetrate well and can be as close as possible to the plants, but that's part of the process. Still very happy with these lights and see no reason to change. The layout of your grow room is a consideration so plan that out and pick a light style that is appropriate for the shape of the room. These lights will not disappoint in my opinion.Update 8/28/19: I finished my second grow with these lights and there was noticeably less bud production the area where I had the two 1000 watt lights. I moved them up and down to see if there was a difference, but it takes too long to really tell. I think I had them too close for one strain as it tended to produce a little burn. But the flower production under the 1000 watt, even with two side by side, did not compare to the 1500 watt. Which I guess makes sense.I decided to stop the guessing game and invest in a good PAR meter. It set me back over $500 dollars, but I figure it's worth the price to actually know what the plants are getting. Whether you spend over $1000 for a US made LED or $150 for one of these, light is light, so if the PAR meter says it getting the right level I'm a happy camper. I am just starting my next grow and have used the meter to set the light for my seedlings under the CFLs I use for this phase. It's not much different than how I set them before the meter to be honest, but the real proof will be when I get them under the these grow lights for veg and flower. I am looking forward to it and will update this review again when I have some real data to share. At the end of the day the support for these lights has been outstanding so as long as I continue to get the results I will stick with this brand. I am hoping to get at least three years out of these lights before they need to be replaced which is like nine grow cycles. If the PAR meter starts to show the output diminishing faster than my expectation or the manufacture does not continue to back the product, then I might opt for a different model LED.

Tested design, highly efficient, very affordable, excellent product!
Update. I hung one of these units under my back deck awnings year and a half ago, so it was protected from overhead rain only. I hard wired it as a light fixture for my patio plants. It worked great!! Plants love it. Birds came to roost over the fans though so I'm cleaning it today. All LEDs are still working. The fans turn again now that I've removed the bird nest debris. This model is solid.LEDs have become a fast growing technology, and prices have come down a lot since this type of product first began to compete with HPS/MH lamps for small grow spaces. As such, these lights are priced very reasonably.I'm a mechanical engineer in the US for a company that develops light technology, so from the start I was interested to examine these lights in detail. Following are my findings which were based on non-destructive testing methods:Summary:I highly recommend these lights to anyone seeking an affordable option for quality LED grow light modules. They are bright, draw little current, and maintain a healthy temperature for long LED lifespan. The lights are easy to set up and operate, taking just minutes to go from box to grow space. Lights were packaged extremely well and likely can stand up to significant shocks during shipment.Design:The design is robust and simple, having only 1 type of moving part, 3 cooling fans. These fans direct air downward across a drilled aluminum plate to which the tri-LEDs are directly mounted for efficient cooling. This cooling of the LEDs is directly related to their lifespan. The LEDs are driven by 4 separate constant current diode drivers which have built in protection for open circuits and short circuits. These are naturally fed through two switches (veg, bloom) for separation of the two wavelength groups. The fans are tied parallel into the switches so either light mode activates 100% cooling. There is a protective plastic sheet that mounts between the LED plate and lower portion of the sheet metal housing to prevent objects from contacting the LEDs directly. All wires were soldered, protected with heat shrink tubing, and zip-tied as necessary to keep everything neat and secure. The system utilizes a standard DTOL power cord and incorporates a daisy chain feature to connect these lights in parallel. The receptacle component of the daisy chain feature accepts plugs from all types of international standards as the lights themselves operate in the 100-250VAC range.Thermal management:Chip-on-boardThe aluminum LED mounting board heat sink was measured by a thermocouple and digital multimeter near the LED junction. Starting at 18C while off, the temperature was observed to climb to 35C over two minutes of full power operation. The temperature then peaked at 41C and remained constant while circulating air in vented grow space.Light output:I've not tested it yet, but these lights are intense! Plants love them!Warranty:I had a problem with one of the fans humming loudly and then clicking on startup. The company was happy to send me replacement parts when requested. I had initiated fan failure most likely by getting a strand of hair in the fan blades.Price 5/5Design 4.75/5Component quality 4.5/5Customer service 5/5Warranty 5/5Edit (6/12/19): I just uploaded a graph of light temperature vs time over a 10 minute period. The curve flattened out at about 42C over the next 30 minutes in a 23C grow room. I'd expect this to elevate slightly with more grow lights in a confined space, but with mild ventilation this design is adequate to keep the LED boards cool.

Well worth the money!
Due to the great quality of these lights I now have three of them and will buy more. I have been growing indoors now for several years and have used High Pressure Sodium lights, Metal Halides, and now these Yehsence 1500 Watt LEDs. I am very impressed with the spectrum of these lights and have had many good harvests that produced very nice flowers. I would say that they compare easily to my 600 watt High Pressure Sodiums and my Metal Halides. The vegetation they produce is always lush and the flowers are always tight as they should be. I have seen no problems with the results that I get, and I spend much less on electricity since they take so little power to run compared to my bigger more bulky lights. Also, my air conditioning bill in the grow room has shrunk dramatically due to the very minimal heat that these lights put out. Also, I love the ability to change from "Veg" mode to Flower mode with the flip of a switch!Another thing that I haven't touched upon is the fact that this light has a Triple Chip LED. This feature helps to provide a lot brighter light and lumen output than most other lights in this price range. From my experience I think that for the money, this is the best LED on the market. Don't let the size fool you. These lights are potent and powerful. So much that I would sure recommend some Horticulture Grow Light Glasses to use with them!
