Sloggers Men’s Waterproof Slip-On Rain Clog – Durable Work Shoe with Comfort Insole (Made in USA)

I bought my first pair and wasn't sure if I liked them, but I missed the cut-off to return them, so I started wearing them and loved them. I find it difficult sometimes to find a garden shoe for men, that looks good, is practical, and comfortable with good arch support. I could almost wear these all the time, indoors and out, with socks in my case. I liked these so much, I bought another pair the next year, and another pair the following year. I now keep a pair at every door to the outside, so I can slip them on if I need to run outside to get the paper or mail and I don't feel like putting on shoes. They are super easy to keep clean. There is an insole, which I use, but you could use your own insole if you wish. The toe box is wide, which I like and they fit perfectly. I like that the top of the shoe doesn't come up too far and so isn't uncomfortable around my ankle like other brands I have tried. I like that they are easy to slip on and off. I use these primarily though for garden work. When I am digging holes with a shovel, they work equally great as if I had boots on; when I'm kneeling planting or weeding, I don't feel that they are going to slip off my feet. The rubber is soft, so I have good grip on hard surfaces. I wouldn't use these for walking the dog though, but for yard work, they are great. I have worn them to the store on occasion. If they ever wear out, I hope I will be able to find them again. I only have purchased the black color, as I like this best.

I've had these for a week and they seem to be doing what I want. They're quite comfortable and I can hose them off (inside and out) when they get dirty. The insole is removable. I need shoes with no holes (ie, not Crocs). Up to now, I was wearing an old pair of LL Bean winter clogs, which get way too hot in the summer. These were a bit pricey, but I could not find anything close to this style. I will wear them every day, so I hope they last. Update: I've been wearing these almost every day and they're very comfortable. When they get messy, I rinse them off in the sink or with the hose and they're ready to go in 10 minutes. The only gripe I have is that the fabric that is glued to the top of the insole is starting to peel in places. I think it's a bit early for that. I do not leave them in the sun, as they are black and I'm worried that they may deform (I had a pair from another vendor that did just that). Update II: I still like these clogs, but the heel back has split on both clogs. I think this is from the flexing that takes place when you slide your foot into the clog. The heel back is high enough to grab the back of your heel, but flexes forward, which leads to splitting. I don't see how to avoid this unless you are very careful about how you slide your foot in. Despite this, I'll be purchasing a new pair when these wear out! April, 2015 update: I still have these clogs! Yes, the heels are worn, and the back of the clogs are cracked (I do think this area could be stronger). But, I think I can actually get one more season out of them! I wear these everywhere in the summer (replacing my Bean clogs that I wear all winter), and they are very comfortable. The best part is that I'm never tempted to come into the house with dirty shoes. Easy on/easy off means they stay on the back step. This was a great purchase. Given how long they've lasted, the value can't be beat.

I originally ordered a size 10, but had to exchange them for an 11 because they were too small for my 10.5 wide feet. However the 11 was a bit too large and the clog would fall right off my foot. If you buy direct from Sloggers, they'll throw in a free "half-sizer" insert. The problem with buying from Sloggers website right now is they will only ship to the billing address—a problem if you live in a neighborhood with rampant package theft. While one can buy the half sizer inserts separately from Sloggers, with shipping nearly the same as the cost of the insert, I went to my local fabric/craft store, picked up a sheet of 4mm black EVA foam for under $2. EVA foam (also sold as "craft foam") is frequently used in boot and shoe construction. I used the top of the existing insole to trace out the shape, and put that in the clog under the insole. Voilà, a half-size insert for a fraction of the cost, and a nice extra cushion for my feet. If the homemade insert does wear out or compress too much, it will be easy to replace. So with that little modification I'm very happy with my "10.5" Slogger :)

These USA made Slogger clogs are great for keeping by the door to quickly slip into when running out to check for the mail or run to the car. The hard sole may not provide the cushion of a sneaker, but that isn’t the purpose of these shoes. They offer a quick-on, waterproof, (for what part of the foot is covered), comfortable shoe for general use. I use them for all-day use inside the house and have never experienced discomfort from them.

I have 11 1/2 E feet, nearly size 12. I ordered the 11 M and they were just the wee bit loose but a perfect fit with socks. Unfortunately people who don't know their own foot sizes reported they run 1/2 size small but I took the opposite tack to the reviews when ordering and found them a bit on the large size. Perhaps their competitors put up bogus reviews to confuse people on the sizing of the clogs. Well made, made in the USA. Perfect for walking on garden beds and the grass and light digging. Don't get sweaty when hot. I think they designed a bit to the large size so you can wear with socks for the winter. Far, far better value for the money than anything out there and made in the USA to boot (pun). Would make a fantastic gift for your husband or the avid gardener in your life if you're on a limited budget. Highly recommend. Ignore the negative reviews and the size disinformation.

Look nice. But.... Not slip resistant at all. Too dangerous for kitchen work. Unless you just stand in one spot. Even then these aren't very comfortable.

Purchased these for my husband. He's a size10 or 10.5 so it's difficult to guess at the correct shoe size when buying online. They fit perfectly, 11 would have been too big. He loves the quality, and says they're very comfortable and perfect for his outdoor chores. Easy to slip on and kick off at the door.
