Really powerful wrench- very good for purposes like tyre changing or other automobile stuff.
really liked the product. I use it for changing tyres.I bought it at a deal price from amazon. The ease with which it removes the bolts, is really commanding. I dont know why the other review did complain about the build quality, but am extremely happy with the build quality. I have a bosch cordless hammer drill too, and i dont find the quality any less. The product is heavy, and one can feel the torque when it works.only problem is it needs deep sockets for the tyre bolts, as the length of the drive is a bit more.in total I am super happy with the product.

Disappointing
This tool is not CP8848, it is CP8849. CP8848 is made in France or Hungary, and CP8849 is made in china CP 8848 is build quality and working service is bater than CP8849 .and CP 8849 is cheap Chinese product and not work properly. i already use 4 pcs. cp impact wrench 2 pcs 8848 or 2 pcs 8849 .

Paper tiger
CP8848 is Chicago Pneumatic's answer to the legendary Ingersoll Rand W7150. Chicago Pneumatic, a century old company is relatively new to the cordless power tools business.Performance-----------On paper, CP8848's specifications are quite impressive. It claims 68-950Nm of working torque range. Maximum reverse torque is 1050Nm. These numbers are very similar to industries best - Ingersoll Rand W7150. But there is no means of verifying these claims.Battery--------It comes with two 4AH 20v batteries. For typical maintenance work, one battery is more than enough for a day. The batteries have an integrated power gauge which is a nice feature. Compared to similar batteries from other manufacturers they are heavy and bulky.Quality and build-----------------The fit and finish of the tool is awful. There are huge gaps between the plastic body parts (See the pictures). After seeing it, I realized how well made those Bosch power tools are.The front gear housing and back cover are made of cast aluminium. There are rubber bumpers on the main body and the battery pack to protect the tool from scratches.Ergonomics and experience-------------------------Including the battery it weights around 3.2kg. The weight is well balanced and it is comfortable to hold. The variable speed trigger and the forward reverse selections switches are smooth and comfortable.Warranty and service--------------------It was not mentioned anywhere. I called up the CP customer care and confirmed that it has 6 months warranty. They have a service center in Bangalore. I am not sure about the other Cities. Why 2 stars?------------It is mainly because of the poor build quality. The tool cannot survive the harsh conditions of a workshop. Secondly, I don't think the performance numbers are true. 1050Nm is a LOT of torque. But it failed to remove the axle nut of an M800.

best item bought this year
Kicks ass...Went to drop off a clients car at a tire shop..They had a lul and all 7 mechanics showed me 7 of these and about 6 of the IR battery wrenches. I thought ok, If this is used in a tire shop all day for every kind of lug nut ...OK I'M in.Was showing it off at the shop...everyone will be getting on soon you wait. Kicks ass.

Strong.
It has no problem breaking loose and removing lug nuts on my 2500 Silverado that are torqued to 140 lb. ft.
