Fitbit Aria Wi-Fi Smart Scale (White)

It's the smart tool one needs to track your fitness progress. It logs it for you and you know your progress and acts as a reminder to control your diet. You may lose weight but are you losing weight in a healthy manner. This is the tool to fill in the gaps.

I cant get my scale connect to my Wifi Home network. I tried the following things to make it work. 1. Tried the software based and the web based setup options, from my mobile ,my Windows laptop, and a MAC of my friend nothing worked. 2. Checked all the Recommended router settings,were fine like 2.4 Ghz 802.11 b Frequency settings ( writing from memory, numbers may be different ). 3.Changed router password to no special characters, even removed password authentication all together. Nops. 4. The router was pretty old, Di Link DIR 600, Bx Firmware, 2.03, so I thought why not ? Got a Netgear Router from amazon. it worked perfectly !! Not the Scale however, same error. 5.Again all router settings verified. 6. Uploaded all the Logs to Fitbit support, after 5 days of back and forth emails, they haven't offered anything useful. They have the God Damn Logs, they are asking for a screenshot of the error !! How lame can it get. 7. The scale normally shows weight, but it never get to connect to the WIFI. Error: In the scale, it says "NO SYNC" or "WIFI ERR". And in case you are wondering, YES ! I HAVE MADE SURE MY WIFI PASSWORD IS CORRECT !!!! Conclusion: I am really really dissapointed from Fitbit. I have a Blaze and I was very happy with it, so thought of completing the package with Aria.but it gave me such a bad experience. I literally wasted hours of my time to figure this thing out. Only Good point I can remember is that Thanks to this scale, I have a new Wireless Router now !! LOL it was about time anyways. Returning the product. Gonna send a nice review to the support guys as well for their incompetence.

I got this the next day with one day shipping. Setting it up is really simple but you need to know your WiFi password and just follow the instructions of the fitbit app. It took less than 3 min to setup mine. You just have to step and it will calculate your 1. Weight 2. Body fat (by sending a small charge through your feet so always be bare feet while stepping on it.) 3. BMI ( BMI and Body fat calculated only for those who have the fit bit app) It will then sink it with the cloud through your home WiFi network. It is some how able to recognized you and in total 8 users with fitbit app can use this simultaneously. Additionally any guest can use it as a regular weighing machine (BMI & Body fat % not calculated at hight measurment is needed for this. Over all its a simple gadget needs to be configured only once and then simply start taking weight daily slowly you will start seeing a trend which can help you keep motivated. Another good feature is the app its one of the best Fittness app. User interface is simple and pleasing to eye with one click you can see you detailed history. It also rewards funny badges as rewards for achieving you goals. Overall I am really pleased with this device. Will a follow up review in next 3 months. Feel free to ask questions till then ?

This product has the only advantage of having a wifi, which helps the weight data to go on a particular website. However the measurements like body fat% are all wrong. These are based on a general calculation which obviously is not correct. If you need only weight, then you can simply go for a regular scale which you can get at Rs. ~200. But if you are serious about your BMR, Body Fat %, the best is to go with Bioelectrical impedance scales which would be closer to reality.

It worked fine for 4 days but after that when i stepped on it it started throwing an ERR message. I checked help.fitbit.com which recommended removing the batteries and putting them back after 10 seconds. This recommended procedure didn't work for me. So I returned it and got a refund. Multiple people have reported this issue on fitbit support page and for many of them replacement scale also gave the same error after some time. The number of issues reported on the support page were quite high and replacing the scale was the only solution which worked for most of the people. Since there was no surety that this problem won't appear on a replacement scale as well so I chose to send back the scale and get a refund.

I've had and used a Fitbit One for two years now, and I love it, but I balked at spending money on the matching scale when I had a scale that already worked. Then the body fat percentage calculator, which had always been a little wonky, on my old scale died and I decided to take the Aria plunge. Pros: - Reads quickly - Accurate (reads the same as the mechanical scale at my hospital) - Consistent (gives the same reading when re-checked in a short span of time) - Attractive design - Durable and easy to maintain - Motivating and simple to use Cons: - Price - Does require some setup - Privacy concern- will store readings for anyone who uses it, not just the programmed users I found the setup pretty straightforward, but it does require the user to be comfortable with using consumer electronics and following instructions. If you can order on Amazon, you can probably handle this setup, but, say, my 88-year-old grandma probably would find it confusing. Once setup, it's good to go, however- the user simply steps on the scale and the reading is displayed, then sent to the Fitbit account wirelessly. The scale will store readings for anyone who uses it. These are easy to delete from your Fitbit account, but guests and non-Fitbit family members may not be excited to find that using a scale in the privacy of the bathroom has broadcast their weight and body fat % to others. The quality of the product is excellent- we had a fairly high-end scale to begin with, but it didn't compare to the design or execution of the Aria. I also love that it's easy to wipe clean- it looks so much nicer on a daily basis than our old scale, which had rubber components, did. I also love that it's so straightforward to use- some scales I've owned required knowing which buttons to press to access different functions, or required the user to step on them lightly and then wait before stepping all the way on, or required the user to select their own profile before use. With Aria, you literally just step on and off. Finally, I love that it's so motivating. I'm sure this varies from person to person, but if you respond well to using a Fitbit in the first place, I think there's a good chance you'll respond well to the Aria. I like seeing the data pile up in my account, and making a daily weigh-in part of my routine keeps me conscious of my movement and food choices throughout the day. I only intermittently tracked my weight and body fat before the Aria, but now track it every day that I'm home, and I'm finding the data useful and the daily practice keeps me mindful. And you get new badges, which, again, not everyone may find worthwhile, but I find motivating. Overall, I am extremely pleased with my Aria after one month. I've seen slow but steady weight loss and I plan to keep making it part of my routine for the future. It's not cheap, but if like me, you're a dedicated Fitbit user who struggled to stay consistent with weigh-ins, it may well be worth the price.

Dopo l'acquisto dell'ottimo smartband Fitbit,l'acquisto della bilancia dedicata diventa un must per chiudere il cerchio ed avere un preciso controllo della vostra attività fisica. La bilancia ha una forma classica,ma il piatto in vetro e le zigrinature la rendono piuttosto preziosa nell'aspetto. La configurazione con la vostra rete WiFi e quindi con il vostro account Fitbit risulta abbastanza semplice, ma comunque richiede una certa dimestichezza sull'argomento. Il mio consiglio è quello di utilizzare l'applicazione mobile Fitbit per effettuare la connessione (aggiungi nuovo dispositivo) che, a quanto si legge in rete, è il sistema che crea meno problemi. Le funzioni della bilancia sono quelle della misura del peso e sopratutto della massa grassa,dopo ogni pesata la bilancia si collega alla vostra rete WiFi per caricare i dati giornalieri sul vostro account. In realtà gli stessi non sono immediatamente disponibili sull'applicazione del vostro smartphone ma alcune ore dopo,problema che non dipende dalla bilancia ma dai tempi di aggiornamento sui server Fitbit. Nota negativa per quanto riguarda le istruzioni sulle operazioni effettuabili direttamente sul piatto della bilancia e che sono necessarie se gli utilizzatori sono più di uno. Nella mia famiglia gli utilizzatori sono tre, la bilancia può riconoscere chi si sta' pesando solo se le differenze di peso superano o sono inferiori di 3 Kg. Ora,dal momento che due utilizzatori hanno pressoché lo stesso peso, è necessario, dopo la pesata, confermare quale dei due utenti si tratti. Per fare ciò è necessario fare una leggera pressione sul piatto della bilancia,operazione che ho dovuto sperimentare da solo in quanto non è spiegato nel manuale e neppure on-line. Altra nota negativa anche se di poca importanza è che i messaggi che appaiono sul display della bilancia per ora sono solo in inglese. Per quanto riguarda la precisione non mi risultano grosse problematiche,di certo non si tratta di un prodotto professionale. I love my Aria. I have had this product for years and still love it today. It integrates quite nicely with my fit bit app. Even though I do not use my Fitbit anymore. I still use the Aria daily. My info integrates with Strava and Zwift and also gets loaded into my Apple Health. I love the fact that I can keep track of my weight, BMI, from year to year and not lose this data.

Had this scale for less than a year and it started doing the 'step off, thinking, error'. Tried contacting support but the best they told me to do was to get a new model... Seriously? Changed the batteries, tried the step off and on 5 times nothing worked. I am severely disappointed with the product and customer service. You would think that after paying this much for a scale they would at least offer better support or compensation. Stay away from this product as there is still an ongoing thread about this issue on the Fitbit community page from years ago!
