The live concert is available as a separate mp3 download called Live At The Venue (London, 3rd June 1982). I made the mistake of buying both, assuming they were different and not bothering to check.If you're a Tom Verlaine or television fan, I think you'll love the live performance and these early solo songs.

This is an album of two parts. The first CD is taken from live concert at the Venue in London during the early 1980s. The second CD is a compilation from Verlaine's solo albums and some Television work.I rate it as one of the best albums ever released on the basis of the concert take, which with perfect sound quality records Verlaine performing live at his best. The guitars have a beautifully thick,jangly, choppy quality and Verlaine's solos are breathtaking. The audience sounds stunned by what they are hearing, as they should. The quality of the songs and the level of playing shown sanctify Verlaine's place as one of the greatest guitarist-lyricists of all time, if that does not sound too portentous (it probably does). In short-buy, listen, and re-play again and again.
