Best Professional French Rolling Pin - Hard Maple Wood with Tapered Ends

This is a beautiful rolling pin! I first purchased it as a gift for my mother in law who bakes a lot, but once I received it, I just knew I had to have one for myself! It's longer than the regular American style rolling pins we're used to and much slimmer. Once you use one of these pins, I think you will find the style of pin you're used to using just won't cut it anymore. The "rolling mechanism" will suddenly will feel cumbersome and the pin too short. It does take some time to get used to the way it rolls but I'm so glad I took a chance and ordered this as a gift; otherwise, I would still be using and struggling with the other one.

I got this for my husband for Christmas so he really has not had too much time yet to try this out. I will say it is a nice looking piece of maple. He will hopefully get many years out of this. Will write more when he gets time to use it.

Like that it is made in the USA but when I got it both ends were black with dirt. The giant sticker in the middle is almost impossible to get off, still not sure what to do with that yet. Returned it, was to dirty and the sticker.

I was skeptical about this rolling pin, but it exceeded my expectations and made rolling out dough much easier. Looks fancy too

I make a lot of pies and always wondered about the tapered pins. It is not a necessity, but it does help somewhat with rolling the dough.The finish wasn't as fine & smooth as I expected, but with use, it will become so.

It comes with a sticker on the middle of the roller that is nearly impossible to remove. Once removed the wood underneath is discolored.

Love this rolling pin. This style of pin is much easier for me to use than the roller kind.

Perfect size, very smooth. Rolls out tarte dough very well.
