Tek Republic USB 3.0 Flash Memory Card Reader SD, SDHC, SDXC, Micro SD/T-Flash, CF (UDMA). for Windows, Mac and Linux

I notified the shipper that the reader was not useable and they responded immediately with instructions for the return of the item and also with suggestions for trouble shooting. To my embarrassment, the fault was mine and was due to how I inserted the reader. My thanks to the shipper for their prompt responses to my emails and for their suggestions, which included instructions on how to insert the reader. The reader works as designed and I am pleased with my purchase.

I bought this together with the Transcend card reader and the Lexar card reader. I tested all of them with the same high speed SD card.This one and the Transcend are falsely advertised. They do not support USB 3 transfer rates. They work on USB 3 ports but only at USB 2 transfer rates. However, you do have to go to the Lexar site and find the hidden patch that they don't tell you about in the instruction manual. The Lexar is only decent if you apply the patch for your operating system. Otherwise it's just as bad as this one and the Transcend.

works fine. is certainly a usb 3 device as my older usb 2 reader would not read a 64 gb cf card. this one fired up immediately when i tried it w/ the large capacity card. defiantly cuts download time too. that alone makes it worth the price as i shoot thousands of photos for time-lapse videos.

I purchased this item for my grandson. Therefore, I am unable to provide a review. I can, however, say that my grandson (adult) is very much engaged in electronics and he asked me to give him this flash memory card reader as part of his birthday gift. You can rest assured he did some research! Thank you for helping me find a gift my grandson wanted!

Normally what can you say about a card reader? It either works or it doesn't. This one does work perfectly, however what I really like about this reader is the CF port. On most card readers the CF port is very stiff and you have to force it in and yank it out. The CF port on this reader is like butter. Goes in smooth and pulls out without yanking.

This worked once and the second time I went to use it there was no recognition of the card. I tried several different types of cards and also tried removing the reader from the computer several times. Trying to give it the benefit of the doubt, I even restarted my computer twice and still nothing. Between working the first time and not the second it was sitting on my computer desk. Based on this I would not want nor try another memory card reader from this company.

Works like half the time - got it to replace the card reader I've had for nearly 10 years. Ironically, the 'old' card reader is more reliable and uploads quicker than this one. It's slow and I have to plug it in/pull it out several times before my computer picks it up-

Works perfectly so far. Should have had some illustration on which way to insert chips. Critical oversight.
