Buy these lights! You won't regret it!
I recently purchased the JMAZ Mad Par Hex 4S set and I'm absolutely blown away by how awesome these lights are! If you're in the wedding industry like myself, then you know how expensive DJ and event lighting can be. Companies like Chauvet and ADJ charge anywhere between $300-$500 per battery powered uplight, and once you have ordered yourself a set with a road case you've just spent at least $3000! That's a big chunk of change to throw down for some lights, so naturally, I began researching cheaper alternatives. At first I was kind of hesitant, $999 is still a lot of money to gamble on a light that is pretty new on the market, but I figured I would make that leap to see what it was all about, here's what I think of these lights.CONSTRUCTION:These lights are built extremely well, with a metal body and very little plastic. The top part (we will call this the hood for the sake of this review) is made of plastic, but it is a very thick and tough kind of plastic. There's also a metal handle that folds up for easy carrying and it is also made of metal. There is a plexiglass screen that covers the actual led's which is pretty nice, as I have used cheap lights in the past that did not sport this feature and any amount of rain or liquid that fell onto it had the potential of shorting out the light. Another really neat feature on the construction of these lights, is the kickstand on the bottom. This little kick stand allows you to angle the light to create a shorter throw on a wall. Its a great feature that allows you to work better with shorter columns and ceilings. In short these lights are very rugged and will hold up to a lot, whether it be a short tumble or a wedding guest tripping over the light.BATTERY:Of course, one of the main selling points on these lights is the fact that they are battery powered and this eliminates the need for those pesky iec cables. Have you ever tried to setup uplighting around columns that require being plugged into an outlet? it complicates things so much. Anyway, so I figured I would only get about 6 hours out of these lights, but after some testing its really closer to 12 hours. Charging these is pretty painless too and only takes about 3 hours. ONE THING TO REMEMBER WHEN UTILIZING THE CHARGING CASE: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CHARGE THESE WHILE THE CASE IS CLOSED. THE ADAPTERS DO GET WARM AND IT IS A FIRE HAZARD IF YOU TRY TO CHARGE WHILE THE CASE IS CLOSED. THIS IS WITH ANY LIGHT CHARGING CASE. Overall, very impressed with the battery life on these little guys.FUNCTIONS/MODES:Oh my lord y'all, if you are looking for a light with amazing functionality, then this light is for you. First off, you have your standard static mode in which you can choose between 32 different color presets, or you can manually adjust the values for Red, Green, Blue, White, UV, or Amber to create your own custom mix. Also, one thing you don't get often with smaller lighting companies are DMX profiles! I'm here to tell you JMAZ has made it so easy and affordable, every light you purchase from them has its own downloadable DMX profile for myDMX. All you have to do is visit their website to retrieve them. Ok, are you sitting down? Because I'm about to blow your minds...these lights have a wireless mode!!! All you have to do is connect the lights to the wireless DMX controller that they have available and make sure your lights are set to d001 for 6 channel, or a001 for 10 channel. The 6 channel mode only offers changing the colors of the lights as a group, so no chases or anything like that, but being able to modify the color of all the uplights in the building without having to manually do it on each light is a godsend! If you choose to use the 10 channel mode, then you have the added strobe feature added to the wireless control, this is a cool feature if you ever need it. Other modes on the Mad Par Hex 4S include battery meter, dimming speed, IR remote control, strobe, color jumping, color gradual change, color pulse change, sound control, temperature, version number, and a reset button.ROAD CASE:This lighting package also comes with a heavy duty road case for storage and transporting. This is such a great value for a few reasons. First of all, it is air tight so you don't have to worry about your lights sustaining any water damage during transport. Second, this thing is heavy duty and could take a beating if it needed to. Third, it is equipped with a charging station, so all you do is plug in your AC adapters to your lights and then use the powercon adapter on the outside of the case to plug into an outlet. And of course, no heavy road case is complete without casters. This little guy only weighs about 30 pounds but comes equipped with 4 casters, 2 of which have brakes on them so you don't have to worry about it rolling away from you on a slope.OTHER FEATURES:I didn't really know where else to fit this into my review of the Mad Par Hex 4S set of 6, so I figured I would just add it under other features. When you purchase this set of lights, each light is packaged individually and comes with a cat5 to male DMX cable, a cat5 to cat5 cable, AC charging cable, an owner's manual, and an IR remote control. In closing, I highly recommend purchasing this lighting package if you are looking for quality and would like to save some serious cash. These are hands down the best value on the market!

Finally, the total package for professional up-lighting
I absolutely love these lights. I have been waiting for the combination of compact, RBGAUV, battery powered with wireless remote control mixed with a price point that makes sense, and this is FINALLY it! Set up is in my video and it takes no time at all. 10 lights, $200 a light and a free professional, durable case on wheels...it's a no brainer!

Great value light
Liked it enough that I bought another. Pretty decent light, especially for the price. Lost the manual the first time, but seller replied to me and I got a digital copy.
