Disappointed
Splendid story as usual but the artwork is done in haste. Although done by the very same artist, this volume looks like shit compared to the first volume which looks like an absolute masterpiece every panel.

Dazzling...
Mahabharata - an epic that will stay as my all time favourite. An epic where villains showed heroic deeds and heroes were at times shrouded by their treacherous acts. And Shakuni was always interesting - as to what can drive a person so madly into dedication that he can sacrifice his entire life to seek revenge - or was it retribution? It was a delightful read indeed and I must say that "The Kaurava Empire" (to me at least) is a victim of its own success - I am waiting for more

Worst way to end a beautiful trilogy
Worst way to end a beautiful trilogy, the 1st vol. had a tight story and beautiful art, 2nd lost the tightness of the story but art saved it somehow but this is the worst of the lot. Plot is sloppy and it seemed that the artist was in some kind of hurry to wrap this up, dirty fat strokes and just 2 tone coloring. Why do you always do this Campfire??? YOU GET US STUCK INTO A TRILOGY AND THEN WE ARE FORCED TO COMPLETE THAT NOW MATTER HOW ITS DONE........

Liar's Dice
In this, the third volume of The Kauvara Empire, the story focuses on Shakuni and his manipulations of other characters and events in the greater story, explaining the reasons behind his actions and his overall endgame. I've greatly enjoyed all three volumes though I personally thought that this wasn't as good as the first two volumes, though I'd still recommend getting it if you already have the first two, for a greater understanding of the characters and story. The fully painted artwork is great, just like volumes 1 & 2 and gives the reader a sense of depth and motion, which is exactly what is needed when telling a story using a visual media. I highly recommend buying this graphic novel series.

Fascinating
It was a great pleasure to read this book, as the author said, the story of Shakuni was one of the very first thing he wanted to write, the book doesn't disappoint us. Since I was into Mahabharata, the great epic, Shakuni was the character I like the most. Someone will say it was Krishna behind all of this, however, even if the war was planned by Krishna, it does fufilled Shakuni's wish. The story was not perfect, but it was good enough for a retelling of the epic. Worth reading.
