Emerson 14 oz. Stainless Steel Heated Auto Mug with 12V Car Power Adapter

This as a gift for my daughter and she says it works fine. She enjoys the hot cup of coffee as she's headed to work.

My husband and I found the coffee cups do not stay hot when plugged in. Sadly we did not use them until after the return policy was past, so we are stuck with two heated travel mugs that do not heat up.

Worked for 2 days and stop

I have a stainless steel travel coffee mug that works well except it does not heat up. So recently I was in my local Beals outlet store and they where having a clearance sale. I saw a two pack of these for 1/3 the price they are asking here. How could I resist particularly since it had the Emerson brand name on them.I first tried them by heating room temperature water in them, and the water heated up in 10 minutes. Unfortunately it did not heat up to what you would call hot, only to a warm, warm stage a little before hot. There goes my idea of heating soup in the car. However before I left the house I heated the cup up with hot water than added hot coffee than plugged it into my car outlet. By doing this it kept the coffee hot for a long time, so it seemed to work quite well that way.The whole cup seems very sturdy the outside is made of plastic but the inside is made entirely of stainless steel, which is nice. The cap fits on tight since it has a silicone gasket on it which keeps the heat in but which makes it a bit difficult to take off. There is a plastic slider on top of the lid to open and close the drinking opening which keeps the heat in when closed.A good deal for what I paid but I don't think I would pay what they are asking here. If you check around you should find a better deal on this elsewhere.
