Good quality product.
This is a good quality product. The Abalone matches the fret markers on the guitar I own. The pins were slightly oversize so needed to be reduced (I used disposable emery nail files). Make sure you measure the original pins (with a micrometer) before ordering. These measure 5.42mm at the thickest part of the shaft. One pin had a hairline crack where it had been drilled for the Abalone feature. Vanson guitars sent a replacement immediately. It is difficult to say if the tone of the guitar is improved as pins will usually be replaced when the stings are changed.

Great Buy.
Used them for Epiphone Acoustic guitar, they were a bit tightso had to reamer the peg hole slightly now perfect and sound great.

Excellent quality
Bought these for a Gibson J45, just to enhance the look really, the plastic one's that come with the Gibson do the job but look cheap. These are really nice pins they look classy and i would highly recommend them.

Good, but…
Functionally the bridge pins are great. But in the pack I received there were five in different shades of abalone (as to be expected from a natural product) the pack also contained one that doesn’t look like abalone at all, it has a plain black dot on top which doesn’t change at all in the light. It doesn’t even feel like abalone. Amazon only gave me the option to return the whole pack and since they were already fitted before I noticed it was just too much of an inconvenience, I probably should have contacted the seller direct. These would have been a 5 star product otherwise. I guess if aesthetics mean an awful lot to you, proceed with caution.

Very nice replacement pins.
Very nicely made bridge pins. Makes for slightly brighter and slightly better projection than plastic pins. In a cedar top guitar the difference is noticeable.

A Bridge to far
Seriously though these are lovely.A little fatter than the ones I had on my guitar. The guitar is an Epiphone Masterbilt, it is the only acoustic I own, so I don't know whether there is a standard size or not for bridge pins.Anyway, I simply got a cheap tapered reamer from Amazon, and very gently reamed out the holes till the pins fitted to the depth I wanted.I don't understand why Epiphone make a big thing out of 'bone nut and saddle' then stick plastic bridge pins in.

Pretty but?
Came quickly but one was very tight in my Martin and wouldn't go right in. A week or so later I heard a rattle and a piece of one of the pins, about half an inch long, came out of the guitar. They look pretty but I think I'll go back to the originals when I next restring.
