Worried at first... very impressed
When I read reviews on Amazon, I always look at the 1 star first. Most 1 star reviewers had the same problem, tires popping. I began looking elsewhere, especially when I found out the rims were plastic and they have a lower quality axle. I couldn't find anything even close to the price I ended up paying. Here is what I think about what was brought up in the 1 star reviews --Tires popping -I can totally see this happening. I know the instructions say to put like 35 pounds of pressure in the tires. I didn't measure the pressure, and to be quite honest, almost didn't even pump up the tires because I felt there was sufficient in them when I put it together initially. I ended up putting some in, but not much. Maybe 3 pumps with my bicycle pump. I took my two little girls for a ride for about 5 or 10 minutes and noticed one tire began to bulge because of the pressure. I took some out and it has been fine since. We took the girls for another 30ish minute ride today too without any problems. Simple solution to the popping tires, don't do the 30 pounds, just until you think they will be fine.-Cheap Axle -Being the person that I am, I look at build quality. I am very mechanically capable and repair my vehicles, appliances, and tech devices. When I took the wheels out, I looked closely at them. The plastic wheel has a rolling ball bearing assemble pressed in to the hub of the wheel. Then the axle is pressed in to the bearing. I'm really impressed with this trailer and look forward to using it very often with my kids. Also, some reviewers complained about how the bottom would sag and the kids bottoms would hit roots, rocks, etc. There are two straps that go across the bottom that you can tighten and loosen to prevent sagging. Tighten those puppies up, and obviously, don't take your child for a ride in this trailer over a mountain bike trail.
