Disappointing
As much as I wanted to like this after watching the infomercial it just was not as advertised.First, as other reviewers have mentioned the colors are very, very sheer. I needed about four coats to get a relatively opaque look. It was very pretty after the four coats though.It was very easy to apply, despite the oddly shaped and rather difficult to hold bottle top and very short brush. I didn't experience any of the shrinkage that other reviewers mentioned. It cured perfectly in 60 seconds per coat under my LED light. Although after using an alcohol wipe to remove the sticky residue after curing it lost quite a bit of its shine.It's also worth mentioning that you don't get very many manicures from a bottle. At four coats I'd say you'd get three, maybe four complete manicures from a bottle. Of course, if you use the recommended two coats you'd get twice as many manicures.At four coats the polish started lifting after the second day of normal use (typing, doing dishes, etc.). There was no chipping until after the fourth day, but it looked odd in the interim because of the lighter patches from where it had lifted.Removal was super easy. Because it doesn't have that adhesive coat that many brands use it came off without having to scrape it off with a tool so there was absolutely zero damage to my nails which was a very pleasant surprise. I soaked it for maybe 10 minutes in a little cup up acetone and it bubbled right up and came off in complete sheets that just slid right off my nails! It was the best removal I've ever experienced with a gel polish!So, this may be good for those who want a very, very sheer polish, but if you want an opaque or vibrant color this is really not for you.

Finally, the pink I've been searching for!
I've been looking for a shear pinkish nail or gel polish that goes on smooth and even, and drys without streaks for a long, long time without success, it's either too pink, too white, too opec, too, too... Until now! SHY Haute gel polish It's just the right shade, drys shear and even after 4 coats. Each coat takes about 60 seconds to dry under the light, so less than 10 minutes to have a perfect clean manicure. I'm not sure about the shelf life of gel polishes, but am going to chance it and purchase a couple more for back up!I've been doing my own nails for years, and prefer a thin layer of acrylic before applying the gel polish to give it extra strength. It's been 2 weeks, and the Haute gel polish manicure still look great, no chips, no cracks and still shinny like I just polished it. Happy!That said, my other bottle of Haute Polish was mis-labeled, I order Merlot, but the color I got was Fuchsia, I peeled off the Merlot sticker, the printing on the bottle shows it's ATTITUDE, the color's not bad, but the consistency of the polish is a bit watery, I had to do more coats to get an even coverage, and it lasted just about a week. I'm going to keep it, do like the color.I normally purchase my Haute nail polishes from HSN or direct from their site, but was able to get these from Amazon for the same price less shipping (prime) so much cheaper. Love it!!!p.s. Some of the reviews I read about Haute gel Polish were not very good, they talk about it being watery, the color too thin, etc. the trick, (at least for me) is to shack these bottles vigorously for at least a minute, you should see a difference of color on the brush, if not, shake a little more, and that should make it better.

Patience = Positive Results
Ok.... you have to be a bit patient and a bit careful and if you are those two things, this product works quite well. Here are my tips.1. Don't expect two weeks. Even if you got two weeks, your nails would grow so much that you'd want to do a filler. I get about six days, which is just fine given my nail growth.2. Do thin coats, even if you have to do three or four. The think coats also make it easier to just peel off the polish as well.3. Darker color is better than a lighter color. If you want complete coverage, do a darker color. If you want a lighter color, expect it to be more of a tint that an actual solid color.4. You can do your toes with this product! That is a really cool thing -- most salons have told me that they don't do gel nails for toes. I live at the beach in the summer and this actually holds up.5. Thin coats. I can't say it enough.This is saving me $30 every ten days. It is well worth the money and if I have an inadvertent chip (which happens even with salon nails), I can fix it easily.You nay-sayers.... I just have to say that you aren't patient enough to get the benefits of this product.

One step my a**
First off I have the "sensationail" system and love it. So since I already had the light and I saw the infomercial and I loved the colors, I thought I'd give this polish a try.Frist off the colors weren't as shown n the site not even close. But sometimes it has to dry first so I gave it ago. The polish itself was really thick, not dried out thick, but thick. It was hard to spread on my nails neatly and it looks like a 5 yo did. Even after I cleaned it up. The color was translucent took 4 coats where it was remotely dark enough and you can still see nail through it. 4 coats meant quadruple the time on both hands. I was so excited when I saw the colors cause sensationail is all deep metallics and these colors were fun. But the color betrayal holds true to it's name because you feel betrayed and the fun shade of blue called "paradise" was green and not even a pretty one. Price wouldn't be bad had I not needed 4-5 coats to make it look good. So the only good thing was it was thick on my nails as if I had gotten a gel set, it hasn't chipped as of yet but it's only been a day and I'm not sure just how easy it will come off. Lets just say I'm glad I bout it here for cheaper than the site with free shipping. And since I work 12 hr mids on an assembly line and I'm not too worried how my nails look as long as they don't break, if it holds up without chipping I probably won't take the time to send it back.
