Dorman 924-451 Center Dash Console Repair Kit Compatible with Select Toyota Models

Took time to cut out the sides for the new piece but fits perfect in my 05 Corolla xrs

This repair kit is much more affordable than buying a new center bezel/console or even a used takeoff. The instructions could be written a little better, but if you take your time, you’ll get it installed just fine. Use a sharp razor blade and a pair of diagonal cutters and remove a little material at a time. Drill a couple of holes after getting the bracket fit-tested in place, add two screws and you’re back in business. The color of the door is a little off, but it’s much better than no door at all. Thank you Dorman for the fix!

Overall installation went well and worked as it should. The installation guide is not so clear, therefore, one should read the instructions first, eveluate it and see how the process turns out to be then proceed with the instructions. Many of the steps don't make sense at all since they were directly translated from some other language to English. My other complain is the price, just a piece of plastic panel and couple of screws almost cost you $30, not worth it.

My son broke the original door by accident and I needed a new one, but wasn't sure I would need the special repair brackets that came with the door as a kit. I was lucky that I did not need to install the small brackets and only the new door assembly. I saved the brackets and screws in the original box and placed them inside the glove box should I need them at a later date.The door assembly was a perfect fit and matching black color to the original.Nobody would ever know the original access door was replaced as it fit perfectly.I would not hesitate to recommend this kit as it is the only way to repair the mounting points that are built into the console sides that attach to the two door pins.

Is very easy to install

It fit but instructions sucked, type was blurry, pictures were awful, we watched the only you tube video I could find but still was a huge hassle to install, we could never get the springs in so we gave up on those. (Almost impossible with what we had) I’ll have to install something like Velcro to hold the door closed. Mainly the instructions were AWFULL!,, plus, why can’t the door fit what was previously there? Why did we need to cut out parts of the vinyl or drill it out to fit. (It didn’t!)

the hinges fit perfectly but the screws are too short. someone else wrote a review noting the screws are too short. need to be creative and replace those short screws with longer ones.
