Great line used 40lb for dipsy diver and lead core backing for salmon fishing great lakes.
40 lb used for 15 reels for salmon fishing. Backing for some and dipsy diver line for others. Love powerpro line and have used it for years. Few years ago I tried Suffix 832 line for walleye jigging rod but ended up not being as easy to use and started twisting line after first few years. Same reels with powerpro haven't had any issues. Both 832 ended up getting same issue. I will say the 832 did hold color well which was high vis for jigging, but not worth it to me to have to swap out every few years. I have Musky reels with 7 year old powerpro that I don't worry about breaking off. Cut off some each year and haven't even reversed the line yet.

Great fishing line good, breaking strain for its diameter. Semi sinks wich is great for my fishing...over 100 meters...so it does not get stuck in snags
