The works
This stuff works very well, but at first, I was not so sure. After my front loader HE washing machine died, I took my clothes to the laundromat. After using their top loading Speed Queen with agitator, I realized that my clothes were not really getting cleaned in the front loading HE. It wasn't the Odorzout, it was my washing machine. I ended up buying a Speed Queen, and the results are amazing. My 23 month old does not like to wear a bib. So, food and grease end up all over his clothes. I just use Odorzout along with 1/2 cup of 20 Mule Team Borax and it cuts the grease stench amazingly well. The Borax alone is not as effective. I do use a heavy duty cycle and allow the clothes to wash and soak with plenty of hot water.Anyway, i like it. If it is not working for you, then I suggest you try a new old-fashioned washing machine!

Disappointed
Purchased hoping it would neutralize the chemicals smells in so many cotton products that come from China that make wearing them impossible. No go. Disappointed. Probably good for typical household odors but zilch on intrusive chemicals.

Ordorout Laundry Additive Powder
I must admit that I was a bit skeptical about this product but decided to try it. I have noticed that no stinking sweat ordor was smelt on my son's shirts. After the second time using it there was no ordor at all and the laundry actually smelt fresher than before. I will definitely recommend this product to my friends. I was using a product called OrdorKlenz which was also quite good, but the problem was that I had to dissolve the powder in a little water before adding it to the wash as it would leave white hard grannules or powder substance on the clothes and I would have to re-wash as they were hard to come off. With Ordorout laundry additive power I just measure 2 teaspoons and place in washing machine and that's it. I will definately be purchasing this product again as it is above my expectations. Thanks

Effective in combination
After using this product for a long time, I'm updating my review and increasing my rating.I originally said:I've been using this for pet stains and odors, and so far have had mixed results. It does seem to work, but I've had to send things through two cycles of the wash at times, and once it took three washes before the odor was gone. I've had similar problems with other additives on the same item, so it's no worse. I'm not sure it's any better than Borax though, which is much cheaper. Both are natural mineral additives.I did try varying the amount, ranging from the low end of what's recommended to the high end, and I never hit on anything that worked the first time.UPDATES:As I had stated, the product by itself was effective but sometimes took several washings. Borax was an example of an alternative that worked less than perfectly, but was effective over the course of several washes. It turned out that using them in combination removed odors the first time, every time. Borax is cheap, but isn't enough. Using a quarter cup of it and adding a mere two teaspoons of this is more effective than anything else I've used. It gets out the odor of pet urine better than specialty pet products. I've been using it in combination for many months now and the results are consistent.Given the relatively small amount of this that is needed per load, having it available as a separate additive makes sense. It makes a bottle go a long way.

ODORZOUT Powder 24 oz
I purchased this product to remove the smell from jeans. I have had to segregate jeans used to work in the garage on repair and restoration projects to prevent the smell from impacting other laundry. Even the closet/bedroom has taken on an odd odor from the jeans. I tried this product using Arm & Hammer Free Laundry detergent and two tablespoons of ODORZOUT for 4 pair of jeans (40w x 36L)it did nothing. I washed them a second time using the same detergent and half a cup of additive. The washed/wet jeans were covered in residue that did not rinse off. I washed them another time with no products in an attempt to remove the residue. Still no change in the smell of the jeans. After I dried the jeans the filter was clogged by the powder, just removing the filter sent the powder into the air and all over my laundry room, should have held my breath! (scent free Downy fabric softener used also during wash cycle and a scent free dryer sheet during drying)Now, the product did absolutely nothing for the jeans. But the next two loads of (first one cotton whites, second permanent press shirts) laundry I washed (without the additive) and dried came out extra soft and fresh smelling, probably due to residue left in the machines? Good luck

No good for me
Never really worked well for me.....I find baking soda to work better and it is cheaper! I found this to have it's own odor.....not what I was hoping for at all.
