You know, I had a major resistance to purchasing Nexus for the longest time. I'm a confessed sound design super geek; I mostly like to either make my own patches or thoroughly edit preexistent, so to me Nexus seemed useless (not to mention outrageously expensive, for me at least).Over the months I received strong urging from my musician friends to buy it, so I finally found a halfway reasonable deal on ebay last month for transfer. Well, my friends were right, for quick sounds that sound really good, Nexus is terrific. I mean, I do have a huge library of my own sound creations, but with Nexus the effects have already been thought out for me, so as far as jotting down song and composition sketches fast, this synth is super useful imo.I should add, just for a "for instance" I have the Waldorf Blofeld expansion, and it's (shockingly) truly worthy, just about the entire set of presets are inspiring in and of themselves. I mean, it's not the hardware, but eminently useful in and of itself. I'm not sure how well the presets in general will hold up in a mix without tweaking, but that specific expansion has been working quite well for me.If you're a composer and/or songwriter, or just anyone who likes to have a sound-notepad, Nexus is a great resource imo. Just try to wait for a deal on it, as I remain unconvinced it's worth its full retail price, most especially in regard to obtaining all the pertinent expansions.

It's koo. For the price to me it's a little over rated but easy to work with and easy to use .great sounds like any other vst some sounds you'll like, some sounds you won't but I would say try it out . If you don't like to create your own sounds and just like going thru em I would recommend this product for any music composer.
