The cage insert ( correx ) are NOT INCLUDED but can be sourced locally from any sign writer, it is the material house "FOR SALE" signs are made from. It is available in a multitude of colours and a large sheet 8' x 4' should only cost you about Β£15. It is very easy to work with and can be cut to size with a sharp craft knife. To cut the sheets for the cages we made for the images shown below took about 10 minutes each. I am not able to safely mail the large sheets of correx which is the reason they are not included. Included with each sale are all the 36cm x 36cm sheets, corners and cable ties required to build your selected cage. Review: Good value - Easy too put together and too clean. These do last along time unless like me you end up falling into one and breaking it by accident. I'm just a little confused ha!** A: Each metal sheet is 36cm square ( 14" ) so a 4 x 2 would be 56" (l) x 28" (w), the loft being 2 panels high would make the height 28" **Q: Once you cut the correx to size, how to do attach the sheets together, to make the rectangle, super glue, does anything need to be attached to sides?** A: You need to score the correx which enables you to bend it to make the sides, therefore no gaps. Defo DO NOT use superglue. When you bend the sides, secure them on the outer side with tape. I watched youtube videos to see how to do it. They helped loads x **Q: Do u sell the inserts as well?** A: No they don't. It's available in eBay/Amazon. Look for cortex sheets. It's easy enough to cut and if you take your time with it and measure it properly it's a great base to use. **Q: Hi, can I use carefresh in this or do you just recommend fleece for bedding?** A: Carefresh is better used as a bedding. I have the fleece (with absorbency layers) it’s so easy to clean. U could use sawdust (but you would need a lot of it and you would need to clean it more often). My guinea pigs love it, thank you! ### ⭐ Dangerous, nearly killed my Guinea pig *by J***S on 30 October 2023* My adult size Guinea pig got his head wedges in squares (that are 4cm not 3.5cm) and I had to cut him out with wire cutters. Had I not been there he would have died in agony. Seller refused to acknowledge any wrongdoing and said I had to pay for return postage plus refund would be cut as I had to cut my pet out of the bars. They did not care one bit that I’d nearly lost my pet. Please if you don’t want a dead Guinea pig then don’t buy this cage. I asked about this cage on a Guinea pig forum and was told there have been several similar incidents. Ive since seen exact cage a lot cheaper and read reviews which stated a similar incident to mine. You don’t get anything but cage sides and connectors. They do state this right at the bottom but the photo is exceptionally misleading. I’ve now brought a new, cheaper cage with slatted holes and it’s much safer.
