Planes Go: (Airplane Books for Kids 2-4, Transporation Books for Kids)

My 4.5 year old has loved the books in this series by Steve Light since he was 6 months old. We've had so few books that have captured the children's interests for that long. This book introduces different types of aircraft and the sounds that each makes, such as a helicopter or a blimp. The illustrations are beautiful watercolor spreads that are bright enough to engage babies but detailed enough to remain interesting to preschoolers. As a preschool teacher, I like reading these to my son because the text (while simple) offers great opportunities for literacy and language development. The vocabulary is rich (introducing new aircraft) and the onomatopoeia is great for phonemic awareness.

This book is so fun! I have a 1 year old boy and he loves planes. It's fun to animate the plane "sounds" for him. He especially loves the helicopter "PITTATATTATAPITTATATTATA..." I also love the unusual shape of the book (it's long, not square). We used this book at his 1st year birthday party and had guests write their wishes for our son in it. I hope this will continue to bring us lots of joy down the line. I probably enjoy it as much as my son does :)

My 2 year old son loves this book. Personally, I think the book is long (length) and awkward to read (because it's all plane noises), but it is the one he asks for every night. His dad reads it to him and is really animated with the noises, and he really gets into it. The pictures are great and even the words are written out artistically (instead of ka-boom, KA boooooMMMmmmmmm!). I plan on getting him the other books for his birthday.

We really like Steve Light’s books, especially this one! I get it for all the baby showers- it’s great for baby up through young kids. The illustrations and reading the “sounds” the airplanes make keep the kids engaged.

These books are adorable! We got this and the Trucks book for our 19 month old and he loves flipping through them on his own. And he loves even more when we make the fun sounds in the book - they're great book to really interact with your child and get creative while reading them!! Very entertaining and a great size for toddlers.

It's an okay kids book, not much to it just a lot of you making sound effects.

I like all the hard cardboard books by this author. Great for young ones fascinated by planes.

If you have a toddler that loves airplanes, this is a perfect book. It's a wide-open book that is fun to read, the drawings are creative, and making the different airplane noises together is a highlight of our bedtime routine. AWESOME book! Our 2 year old son loves it!

El libro en su está bien hecho, material grueso, bonitas impresiones y de calidad. Lo único malo, así como ha sucedido con todos los libros que vende Amazon México, es que llegan algo doblados o sucios de las esquinas, lo cual le resta mucha presentación mal producto.

+ fun and interesting-can be expensive for a book solely for plane sounds (might as well buy a book about many types of vehicle)

Mon petit de deux ans est en pleine mode avion, alors il devient fou dès qu'il voit quelque chose qui vole. Les dessins restent hyper basique, ça laisse un peu à désirer, mais sinon l'enfant arrive à discerner les différents avions. Il aime bien faire les différents bruits et adore compter (3,2,1...) pour le dessin de la navette spatiale. Un joli petit cadeau pour les enfants qui aiment les avions ou les machines qui "go" !!

Currently it's my 16 month grandson's favourite book.He keeps climbing onto my knee, holding out the book and insisting I read it aloud to him.Yes again!Every grandad needs to buy this!
