Are these sandals lightweight?

Yes, very light weight with super fit & comfort. Should have purchased these years ago...

why did these fall apart after 2 months of use? I only used them for 3 trips to the water park 4 paddles in my canoe and walking to my pool???

My Teva Tanza'a were 11.5. What size would you suggest?

I wear a half-size as well. I have three (3) pairs of Tevas. One (1) in the half size I wear (old pair), one (1) in the next size up, and one (1) in the next size down. All three (3) have enough adjustability with the Velcro straps to fit well enough that I didn’t return them. That said, next time I order I go up the half size as those fit a bit better than the smaller ones. I would order the 12 here.
