Kitchen Sink Gasket - "U-channel"

SinkSeal Kitchen sink gasket was an excellent product and a great invention. I replaced my counter top with granite counter tops, 1&1/4 in thick. I did not want to attach the stainless steel sink with silicon, as was recommended. My reason was that I wanted to have a leak-proof seal that could be removed at any future date, without damage to the sink or granite top. Silicon can be next to impossible to remove without damage. The only other option was plumbers putty. I didn't like either of these options. Therefor, I intended to cut a rubber gasket and draw the sink down for a leak free seal. This product was simple, fast, and cheap. If I were a plumber, I would have a couple of these in my truck, at all times. Lowe's and Home Depot never heard of this product. Go figure. Don't hesitate. Buy it!

I thought this was a great idea, so I ordered it. My goal was to get away from sticky/messy caulk/silicone when replacing my existing sink. As some others have stated, it is probably a great product if you have enough room or overhang at the edge of the sink. It just so happens that mine does not, and the sink was no where near as low and flush as it should be with this product installed. Maybe if they sold two different versions of the product, a "low profile", as well as a regular version, this may have worked for my application. I must say that the adhesion was great (cleaned the sink ridge with alcohol first), and everything else pointed to a well designed product. It just didn't work out for me, so it was back to the old way of plumbers putty and caulk for me.

I agree this WILL NOT WORK on all U channel sinks , concept is good but is to thick to to smash down enough to make flush and if youve just messed with the screwing in those clips and realize this, it is very frustrating I even added more clips to see if that would help it go down to no avail

was way to thick to use properly. couldnt squish it down enough to mount sink properly. had to toss and use silicone as usual.

didn't really fit our sink properly unfortunately.

Outstanding product! Super clean and easy to install. I have tried caulking in the past and it was very difficult and messy. This product does exactly what it states. It even came with one end pre-cut and a pull tab (on 2-sided tape) to make install even easier. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Seems like a great product but I ended up tearing it out after I inserted it in the new sink I was installing because it made the sink sit too high. I was using a Franke sink one of those Tectonite ones and it was just not going to work. Ended up using silicone. I think if your sink has enough room under the rim then this is a great idea. Clean and easy to install. Adhesive seems strong. Piece of cake to put around the rim.

Great Idea!! A pleasure to use compared to the traditional alternatives. Be sure that you put the adhesive side of the gasket on the correct surface of the sink. Double check with the video. I almost installed it 90 degrees wrong. It is an easy product to recommend. And... it was shipped the same day I ordered.
