A little crispier would make these 5 STARS!
UPDATE: my second order arrived and when I tried them out they were super crispy! They broke in half in just one fold, and MUCH easier to cut. So, I am bumping my original 4 star review to 5! (original review below).I used the whole bag before reviewing - so 50 sheets later I have a pretty good feel for the taste and quality of this Nori.Taste wise: fresh, full flavored, and yummyQuality: While it is crispy, it is not quite crispy "enough" to make cutting it more effortless. Minus one star because this is a highly important quality when it comes to nori sheets.Tips for making it easier to cut: Let your rice cool down completely before making your roll. Let the roll sit for at least a minute or two after you have finished sealing it. I am typically preparing more than one roll at a time and also making wasabi and edamame - so I busy myself doing one of those three things, or cleaning and tidying the kitchen if it is the final roll before cutting. This may sound strange to some, but I prefer using a small serrated knife to cut my rolls vs a sushi knife. I very gently and ever so slightly pinch where I am going to cut - another technique for easier cutting.I use these rolls exclusively for avocado rolls or avo/cucumber combo rolls (made just like a normal sushi roll with either white sushi rice or brown short grain rice). I also use them for vegan raw foods rolls (no rice but just pate textures made of veggies and or nuts and seeds). I am not sure if there is a difference when using fish? I would assume not... but I don't know.As for the bamboo rolling mat - I found it to be great! I read some reviews from people saying things get stuck in the mat. Well, most people (including myself) cover their mats in plastic wrap to prevent this, as well as for hygienic reasons, because yes, things would indeed get stuck in such a surface (of ANY mat) and that makes for difficult cleaning and possibly unhygienic surfaces. My only personal qualm with covering mats constantly in plastic is I hate contributing to plastic waste - so if anyone knows of a reusable plastic covering for mats or a more earth friendly and sustainable way to prepare my sushi rolls please let me know in the comment box. :)I surely like them enough to order again (I've already placed order #2). My only desire for these nori sheets is a crispier texture that makes cutting more effortless. I do like them though, and they are an EXCELLENT value - you can't beat the price for organic nori sheets (or maybe you can? ...and if that is the case, then please let me know where I can?;)

great sushi nori, love the mat too!
The free mat that came with this Nori is great, I prefer to use it over one that I already had.The Nori is delicious and easy to work with. I love that the only ingredient in it is roasted seaweed. No additives, preservatives, or oils.Although this is a product of China which might raise concern for pollution, this seaweed is usda organic and the ingredients have listed the roasted seaweed as 100% organic which is even better than just being usda organic meaning that at least 95% or more of the contents are free from synthetic additives like pesticides, chemical fertilizers, dyes, and must not be processed using industrial solvents, irradiation, or genetic engineering. It's hard to find quality nori, but this is the best I have found. I will continue to buy this nori in the future.

what i like to do is wrap the roll inside out
it's a little different size-wise than stated, if you split them in half you wind up with 7x4 inch sheet which is what you actually want. Took me 5 rolls to work out the portions of each ingredient but once you get the hang of it it's simple to make. The only thing i do as far as recipe is mix a little sriracha, mayo and soy sauce, lay on raw fish that's either yellowtail or salmon or both, a slice of cucumber, a thin layer of sushi rice which walmart sells for $1.25 per pound in the international food section in 2lbs bags and add sesame seeds. what i like to do is wrap the roll inside out, cut it with either cling wrap or wax paper to hold the shape, add horseradish and slice my own ginger. it doesn't have to be an exact science and it should be fun, relatively inexpensive and simple in my opinion but anyways the seaweed comes in a resealable bag and the bamboo mat is all that it should be.also i get my best results with the rice smashing it into the paper before rolling, seems to create less mess and insures the highest success for me personally.

When life gives you a free bamboo mat, make sushi!
I'm new to the sushi scene, so I don't have much to compare against. I like the fact that they are 100% organic. I had no problems rolling sushi. The nori held together great. No flaking or tearing. The resealable package is also great since not everyone in my house likes sushi. This allows me to keep it fresh longer and not let it go to waste. The bamboo mat seemed a little cheap, but hey, it was 'free'. It never hurts to have a spare one. When life gives you a free bamboo mat, make sushi!

I will purchase again.
I'm very satisfied with these nori sheets. Flavor is good, they arrived in good condition and they are storing well even a couple of weeks after having opened the package thanks to the built in ziplock feature. What a nice bonus that it includes a rolling mat. The mat is completely functional and more durable than I expected, in fact I prefer it over the mat I already had. I will definitely purchase again.

Mistake-free sushi
These are awesome. They are great to use at a great price. They're just thick enough that they won't fall apart, but thin enough that they wrap really easily. I'm not a sushi connoisseur, so I pretty much need ingredients that will guarantee success in rolling. These do the job perfectly. The free mat that comes with them is very high quality, also. Can't beat the price!

It is absolutely super "seaweedy" which I love
It is absolutely super "seaweedy" which I love! The smell of seaweed is very strong. I personally love it! The bamboo mat is surprising high quality as it comes free with the seaweed sheets. It is very helpful in rolling up the sushi roll! haha! But don't put too much stuffs on the two sides, otherwise they'll fall out after you finishing rolling up the sushi. The seaweed sheets stick together very firmly after they are moisturized. The roll also stayed very much in shape after finishing (and I even put them in my backpack to bring them to school). Still, you might wanna use a foil to wrap it up if you're gonna bring it out. Anyway, really good stuff with the bamboo mat!
