Good Book, but..
I bought the book for own studies as a future physics major and for my A-level Edexcel exam, and I thought I would learn how things are derived in mathematics but instead, You get a very brief overview of how a formula works then presented with solved examples(with explanations) and some unsolved examples for you to do. One big thing this book is lacking is in the differentiation chapter; where detailed explanations are needed, but instead you get a very brief explanation.for Calculus studying I would recommend the following book which is arguably the best book for calculus: ( The Calculus Lifesaver: All the Tools You Need to Excel at Calculus (Princeton Lifesaver Study Guide) )If you are buying this book for the Edexcel exams it is worth it; and would help if you already knew some of the chapters. If you want to learn general mathematics for the sake of learning then its lacking in a lot of areas but excels in having lots of exercises. Conclusion: Great book for revision with lots of exercises for; ( Algebra, Functions, Quadratic Functions, Equations and Inequalities, Sketching curves, Coordinate Geometry, Sequences and Series, Differentiation and Integration.)

good helpful guide
Trying to brush up on the current A-level syllabus, so purchased this book to get a taste of the structure before buying any more in the series. It appears well structured, contains the usual mistakes for one or two questions, but overall this is a great study guide with excellent explanations on the topics included in C1.

Highly recommend - fabulous book!
This book is exceptional. It makes everything so easy and simple to understand with it's easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions. You can also check you answers at the back of the back or insert the CD which come with this book into a PC or laptop and watch how to get the answer.

Bite size format that makes A-level Mathematics that much more approachable
A-level maths consist of 4 core and 2 elect units. These edexcel books are all you need to go through the A-level in combination with online tutorial videos you can find on the internet (for free).Practice makes perfect. But the bite size format makes the A-level mathematics course that much more approachable.Best of luck to you all.

Perfect for study
Most sections are really straightforward but I found the contents to be a bit confusing - especailly when trying to find a certan thing like sketching graphs and all you can find is how to create normal graphs. However, this book is really helpful with studying as you can go over topics you did in lessons and then it really sticks in your head.

A good textbook
This is the book you have to have if you're doing this module with Edexcel, so it's a relief that it's quite good. There are helpful summaries, good worked examples, and plenty of questions (including past exam questions).I'm like them to be more explicit about how to write maths well, but that's missing in most books.
