Air Door Actuator
The part lasted about one year and it started to fail, no clicking noise but some creaking noise and I can not change the air from cold to hot. Looks like I have to buy another one but different mfg.

Fixed but frustrated
Easy to install. Tapping noise stopped. Heater works. Now NO Air Conditioning?? The AC worked fine before the part swap. What happened? Well next day AC worked then didn't work then did work again. Wonder what it will do today? No tapping noise, but sometimes I can hear a noise like a spring. Like a boing boing boing coming from that part.

Try another brand
It did help with directing airflow, but it makes an annoying whining noise. I checked the plastic gear teeth and all are intact, so id bet that the tolerances arent tight enough, causing extra play with the teeth. Which will also cause these to wear out even faster than the original Mopars. Gonna try a different aftermarket brand. Also, save yourself some trouble and get TWO of these, there are TWO tucked away behind the instrument console. Both of them are the same, just flipped around and I had to remove the drop down cup holders to get to them since I have a jumpseat instead of a floor console.

Simple and inexpensive fix to restore heat
Arrived on time and from start to finish it took about 10 minutes to fix the lack of heat in my β11 Ram 1500. I noticed the heat in my truck went out on my way home from the airport when it was in the 30βs, not at all a safe way to drive on the interstate. To replace I just pulled the glove box out and two screws held the actuator that had the stripped gears. Well worth just under $20 considering this might have cost a few hundred at the dealership plus the inconvenience of being without a vehicle.

Worked for about a month , then broke .
Installed , calibrated, worked perfectly fine for about a month or 2 and the started acting up , then finally the gear just let go and it no longer worked

Simple/easy thankfully it wasn't the one that requires pulling out the dash! Maybe next time
It's been two months roughly since the install and no problems. I recommend taking apart the old one to make sure you're replacing the correct one (broken gears inside) unless of course it's obvious lol

Easy easy install.
Perfect fit for my 2009 Dodge Ram 5.7. I replaced my broken heat/cool actuater which is located in an easy spot just behind the lower glovebox. 5 minute fix and a perfect match.
