I love this bag - plenty of storage for all my bits
I knit and crochet for Knots of Love and my family and I have lots of little things like measuring tapes, stitch markers, lots of needles and hooks, stitch counters, small specialist needles for cables, sets of open-ended needles, books............and had not found a good way to keep them together until I found this clever contraption. It has plenty of storage, lots of pockets (some with zippers) both inside and out, and while it doesn't hold all my yarn, and I don't expect it to, it holds enough yarn for several small projects or one big one. I haven't taken it out of the house yet but I can - it has a good shoulder strap. I find the metal frame a bit unwieldy but it is sturdy and holds the bag open. It can be carried, collapsed, by the handle integrated with the frame and bag. I like the light color but I wonder how I am going to clean it when it gets dirty - I guess I will figure that out later. I checked out a lot of bags and decided this one would fit my needs best. I am happy with my purchase.

Very useful and sturdy knitting bag
I'm a beginner loom knitter and wanted a bag to store all the yarn and knick knacks I need. This knitting bag has lots of pockets & is very sturdy, made of thick canvas, with heavy duty plastic outer pockets and wire frame. The inner pockets are made of a thick cotton mesh with elastic openings on one side and thick cotton fabric on the other side for needles/hooks. I would have preferred less pockets in larger sizes hence the 4 stars instead of 5, so I could store my needle & accessories hard cases inside the bag instead to prevent breakage & to avoid searching the bag's pockets each time to locate the item(s) I need or to put my Kindle Fire in. Love the outer pockets though - the large clear back pocket easily holds 2 reference books plus patterns I want to try out. I put the pattern I'm currently working on in front of the books to refer to at a glance as needed. The 2 clear front pockets hold the knitting items I use the most (knitting hook, knit counter, tape measure, bent tip needle, crochet hook, scissors & stitch gauge). I don't care for the strap because it slides around the metal horizontal frame bars on the clip attachments and the clip attachments are a pain because my yarn always catch on them so I removed the strap & carry the bag by the center handles instead. This bag is big enough to hold 1 Bernat big ball blanket yarn (10.5 oz ball), my Martha Stewart loom with the 70 inch by 45 inch afghan I'm still working on, plus 2 ArtBin needle cases for hooks and accessories, my Kindle Fire and its accessories (charger, headphones and stylus) & cell phone.

Love the fabric, roominess and the inside and outside pockets.
I hesitated to purchase a white bag, but really wanted one with lots of pockets., and this fills the bill. This one is beautiful! The fabric is sturdy and attractive. I love so many features-- the many little inside pockets on one side will hold tape measure, small scissors and markers. On the other side, inside pockets will hold crochet hooks or knitting needles nicely. The outside pockets with zippered plastic windows are great for patterns, circular needles and other miscellaneous items that you can find easily. The inside of the bag is quite roomy, and it stands well on the folding metal legs. When it has knitting inside, it doesn't really close, but that's not a problem for me. I'm not sure I'll use the carry strap as it seems to get in the way, but it might be very handy for on-the-go knitting.

Broke after a few months.
I loved this bag. However I have two small issues. One, I wish the top had a zipper so that if I use this while traveling I would not have to worry about anything flying out of it since it can't fold very flat with things in it. Second, one of the best things that I liked and made me order this bag is that it can stand freely. While the outside pockets have nice vinyl plastic, the bottom of the bag is canvas. I often knit and crochet on the beach, or decks/balconies or docks so I need something waterproof around damp sand or wood. To try and solve the issue I bought a sheet of craft foam, then measured and cut the piece to fit the bottom of the bag when open. I have yet to try it, but hopefully that works. If not, then this bag will not travel with me and stay at home.Update a few months later: I loved this bag so much that I ordered another. The first one was the natural color. I used it on vacation, it was so handy during a few days of use on the beach and in our hotel room that I decided to use that at home and bought a black one to use only travel, because it should stay cleaner. A few days ago at home the first bag completely broke. The metal screws in the rods that crisscross under the bag and on the sides, not only popped out on both sides, but BROKE right out of the holes. Bag would not stand up freely anymore, was unfixable and had to be tossed You can't still use the bag if the metal rods are flopping around because there is no way to get the bag off of the metal unless you cut it off. Now I am using the second bag at home, I don't trust it for vacations and expect this one to break sooner or later. I did not overstuff the bag. It was not even folded much. It did not get wet on the beach. After one use during traveling it was mostly on the floor all day by my knitting chair, sometimes I would pick it up and fold it to move it but not often. The metal is cheap and ruins an otherwise nice bag. Cannot recommend this bag now.

I'm very disappointed.
The frame is really quite flimsy. I wish it was a stronger metal, or even wood. Also, does not open wide. I'm very disappointed.

It's seriously the best free standing bag out there.
This bag is perfect. Well made. Lots of room. Great pockets. Everything is perfect with this bag. It opens wide. It's very sturdy. Easy to close and carry. I didn't care for the shoulder strap so took that off.The big outside pocket holds my printed patterns. The small outside pockets hold my presently using tools. The inside pockets hold needles, and more pockets for all extras.I'm an avid knitter and this is the best free standing bag I've ever tried. It had plenty of room for a sweater your knitting or a blanket throw, or several smaller projects.I've bought many differant styles of bags and toes over many years and this one gets 5 stars and is my number one working bag.

Brings peace and increases your crafting mojo.
I didn't think this was very aesthetically pleasing compared to my rustic knitting basket but once I organised my stuff into it it brought wonderful peace of mind - a place to store all my tools plus my current projects in one portable place. Finally I am organised!
