If you do lots of trail expeditions and you are tired of eating sandwiches and salads… try this portable charcoal grill. I bought it to bring along during trail expeditions and it is very light weight, super easy to put together, it’s not too small and not too big. I brought it to a recent waterfall / swimming hole expedition and cooked on it for 8 people. The grilling surface is at a good distance to the charcoal, so food cooks steadily. Good quality for the price.

My 3 year old picked up the box and opened it asking, "what did mommy get this time". Wow! To my surprise they somehow got a grill to fit in some kind of gurly purse. I unfolded my new sunvisor and loaded it with 5 charcoal briskets. Not even enough heat to warm up little Jose's tortilla! I thought what the hey, I'll try a slab of beef. This thing folded like a cheap poker hand. Throwing charcoal on the ground and discarding my 12oz Grade A USDA Ribeye like a Marlboro Red butt.Never again I tell you, never again will I trust my wife to make man purchases again! She will be banned for any outside world contract from now on.

The grate sticks up so far from the charcoal that I had to use more charcoal than necessary to get enough heat to cook.

It is a little difficult to clean. But is other wise a great product. I am glad I purchased it.

4 stars because it works. You can wrap it with foil to get a turbo oven effect which is really cool. The thing is kinda flimsy and should only be set up on flat surfaces. It will work as intended but should not be used around children or animals
