I own a classic Mercedes SL, and although the leather is in fairly good condition, it's starting to show it's age. As suggested by others in here, I carefully applied the oil, let it sit for a few hours, then worked it off with the Pristine Clean. It came out notably cleaner, without that "old leather haze". I have to say that the leather in my Benz hasn't looked this good in many years, and for that alone, I'd give this product five stars. Same great results on the seats, the dash (also leather on my car), the steering wheel, etc. Unlike ArmorAll-type products, there's no artificial, waxy surface coating - just the native leather brought out and clarified. The product is almost unscented as well, so it doesn't leave any heavy aroma in your car - a big plus versus some competing products. However, there's one small word of caution I'd offer. On some cars, the leather is more like a "belting" leather...a thick, heavy leather brought to a smooth surface but not a shine. I'm lucky enough to own a brand new Porsche (I know, it's great to be me!), and most of the leather in the car is like this. Although I'm sure Leatherique would breathe life into an older finish, Leatherique wouldn't be my first choice for my new and smooth (but not shiny) interior as I'd be afraid it would alter the original look somewhat. Expensive, yes, but I think well worth the price. i use it on the car seats leather upholstery of both my 10 yrs old cars with great results. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Unbelievable results - very little work *by H***R on January 24, 2013* I had heard of this product multiple times on car forums. It was a little too expensive for my taste, and I felt that my interior was too far gone to spend so much money on trying to clean it. However, after using a few brand-name leather cleaners from the local auto stores and being disappointed with the results, I decided to give this a try. First, I cleaned the leather door cards where you rest your arm on the door panel. These were really dirty AND were hard -- like cardboard almost. I applied the product per the directions. I wore gloves to apply it, and covered the area with Saran Wrap to create the heat/moisture environment the directions suggest. It was a bit more work than the store bought products, but the results were amazing. AMAZING, I tell you. The door cards were refreshed to almost-new look and cleanliness -- the leather was not as soft as when new, but after a second treatment I felt it was much softer than when I started. The next weekend, I did the whole interior. I used large Hefty black heavy duty trash bags to cover the front seats after applying the product, and I used a painter's plastic drop cloth to cover the back bench seat. The results on the seats was even more impressive -- everything from the light crack marks to the sheen of the leather was so much better after applying the Leatherique. My dog regularly sits in the back seat and the seat was oily/dirty looking from him. The leatherique removed almost every trace of this. My driver's seat was grey and cloudy looking from my denim pants and this was removed almost completely as well. I have recommended this to many people since using it, and have actually used the same kit on my second car as well. Both vehicles are late 90's VWs with tan/cream leather interior. If you care about your car and are willing to put some work in (it does take a lot of time), you will be thrilled with the results. I recommend using dishwashing gloves when applying and cleaning up this product. Also, go get some of those wax/car car applicator things that are just foam discs from the auto store - I'd say you want a minimum of 4 per car (4 were included in my kit in place of the brown sponges you see in the image). Also, I'd recommend a pack of cheap microfiber cloths to use to wipe up the seats -- again, the kit comes with a few but I needed more.
