True Rock Men's Argyle V-Neck Sweater Vest

I was very satisfied with this vest. I bought another one and two more for a friend. They fit true to size. If you are a thin large, a regular large, this will compliment you. If you are a fat large maybe not. I’m 6’ 2” and I wear a slim cut dress shirt, but now that I’m pushing 59 my stomach sticks out a little after I eat, okay a lot, but this vest helps keep it together. I’ve washed them and hung them to dry, I didn’t want to take any chances. I love this vest.

So I ended up buying 2 in 2 different designs and 2 different sizes. The small one was a little bit too big but I'm pretty small and being a woman, I expected it to be (since these are men's sizes). I ordered the XXL for my husband and it was way too small. We actually had to go into Goodwill and buy another one for him. Oh yeah, and the reason we bought them was for Halloween. We were Brennan and Dale (Stepbrothers). Also, the material is just kinda weird. Not soft at all, just kind of stiff and...i dunno just weird. I gave it 3 stars because at least I got to wear the one I bought. So (sarcastic) woohoo!Here's a pic of our costume for your enjoyment. The sweater vest I bought and wore is the one I'm wearing. I have a number of sweater vests from various vendors, and "LT" (Large Tall) has always been a perfect fit. Some reviews mentioned that this sweater fits too small, so I ordered XL instead of L. It is plenty wide enough across the shoulders, and a good length for my extended torso, but so tight in the chest and abdomen area that I am conscious of the pressure even when wearing it over a light twill LT-Tailored shirt without undershirt. This is also the limit for the arm holes. Torso and arm holes would be impossibly confining over a flannel shirt over a heavy tee, probably difficult to to even put on. I control Type 2 Diabetes with diet and lifestyle, so I am not nearly as fat as most other geezers, either. It looks pretty good with a couple of my lighter shirts, so I will keep it to skip the hassle of a return, but be advised that the torso and arm holes run VERY small. This is not for guys with beer guts.

The sweater vest is very soft and appears to be of good quality. However, the "light blue" is definitely not light. In the pictures online it looks like the blue is a on par as the light gray. As you can see in my pictures, the blue is much darker than the gray. I knocked it two stars for the color because I had bought this for my fiancée to wear at our wedding and it was one the only light blue argyle sweater vests available. Also, this isn't an athletic cut, which is good for us because my fiancée does not have an athletic build. It is a nice sweater vest, so we'll keep it for other functions, but it is a real bummer the blue color wasn't as pictured. Also, all the tags say Leonardo Gavino and not True Rock, which is a bit suspicious.

So I purchased this sweater and was all excited about it. It arrived as expected but I noticed a slight problem. There was slight rip or tear in the sweater that was sewn together with white thread so i immediately noticed it. I went from a high to an immediate low and felt like they were trying to pull one over on me. I thought about sending it back but didn’t feel like going through the hassle so i just kept it but won’t purchase anything from this seller!!!!!!

the color is good but the product is a slim fit. it's like a regular medium that is just longer. I put it on and was trapped for a while until I could wrangle myself back out of it. Amazon needs to do better with the garments and sellers so that can provide correct product information.

I am 6 ft 1 with a long torso so I have given up on womens vests. I also don't like sweaters as I am not very endowed but this vest gives the comfort of a sweater and the freedom of a vest. The pattern is fun and it looks great over a standard light blue button down. No one need know it comes from the men's dept as it isn't baggy and the colors are fun. Great with a black mini and leggings. Fashion forward men may like it as well!

Fortunately, I ignored the general advice in these reviews and ordered my actual size. Fits just fine. A little roomier than I would like actually. Hoping it shrinks a little in the wash and it will be perfect. I'm normal weight, maybe a little on the thin side if anything.If you are overweight, yes, you will need a larger size. If you are normal weight, this will probably fit you perfectly.
