Excellent.
I purchased this to replace my beloved Swiss Army Knife which recently disappeared (I suspect ISIS) after many years of daily carry.Originally I had planned to buy another Victorinox knife because the one I lost was pretty much perfect for my needs and had held up extremely well over the years, however when I saw the Rugged knife with similar features but for less than 1/3 of the price on Amazon I decided to give it a shot.Although I have only had the Rugged knife for one day I have to say I am impressed by it so far. It feels very solid and smooth just like my old Victorinox. Although the tools don't lock, they almost "snap" into place when open or closed. I had read some reviews stating the knife wasn't as sharp as it could be, but I did not find this to be the case. The blade is as sharp as any factory Swiss knife I have handled. Maybe the company responded to user reviews and improved their sharpening process, or maybe I'm just not as picky as other users. As other reviews also mentioned the blade is thick and doesn't feel flimsy or weak which is a big bonus for a small pocket knife.I was a little concerned about the design and finish, but after experiencing it in person I am very pleased. This knife has attractive lines and rounded edges that fit comfortably in a pocket without snagging. The black finish appears to be high quality and has a nice texture to it.Overall I am extremely happy, and considering the price, if this knife holds up half as well as it seems it will it is an incredible value.Shipping from Amazon was great as usual.

Love this knife
I was very pleased to see the obvious quality and attention to detail in this sweet little pocket knife. Well made, asthetically pleasing, and a nice, flat feel makes it easy to carry in your pocket. Knife blade feels good, and was relatively sharp out of the box. Scissors are great. So is the bottle opener, and phillips driver. There is not much of an edge on the can opener - I imagine it would be very tedious trying to get a can open with it. File is not very coarse, but its usable. The tools are easy to access, and feel secure when in position. All in all, impressive quality for such an inexpensive knife. Looking forward to see if Rugged comes out with any other knives....

What didn't quite make it, now is great!
This would be a nice utility knife if the scissors worked! The knife blade is sharp an firm in the handle. All the blades are accessible and firm in the knife base. The knife feels good in my smaller hand. The scissors, however are poorly made and very disappointing. Compared to the rest of the knife they are poorly made. The scissor blades do not meet right to cut and therefore twist what you want to cut instead of cutting. The spring on the scissors slips off the arm causing a jam. This knife is so close to meting great but the scissors are disappointing. Unfortunately I use the scissors a lot and they are important to me. The knife is a tool and this tool almost makes it, but .....I am disappointed. Back to Victorinox.Update! I was contacted by the Rugged Knife Company after my review. They offered to send me a new knife. I just received the knife with a nice letter. My major problem with the original knife was the scissors, and the scissors on the new knife are perfect. With this change I am changing my evaluation rom 3 to 5 stars. This is a good solid multi use knife. The blade is sharp and the tools are well made. The scissors cut well. The price point of this knife makes it a great value. The letter that came with the replacement knife claims that the company will tighten their quality control. I hope that this is so.

Exceeded expectations
I don't usually write a review for every single product that I buy from Amazon since most meet my expectations satisfactorily. But when I get a product that exceeds my expectations then I owe it to the company to give them a positive review and encourage more people to consider their product. While searching for a multi-utility pocket tool I clicked on and read reviews on most of the other products sold here. In the end I thought I would just select Swiss Army or Gerber if I wanted a good name brand for a slightly higher price or one of the cheaper chinese made ones that have 50 tools crammed in making it bulky as hell. Then just by chance I came across this and right off the bat it looked good and the reviews were stellar and was under $10. Perfect. When I received it I was impressed by not just the product but also the elegant presentation - classy black box with embossed silver company logo. First impression when just looking at the tool in the box is quality. The sleek black gun-metal finish looks fantastic. It is the perfect size and weight to keep in your pocket and although maybe a tad long to hang off a keychain , anything smaller would compromise the perfect size of the tools (knife, scissors etc) to make usability and handling inconvenient. The knife edge is sharp and all the tools slide in and out smoothly but with enough tension to not be too loose. It has the perfect combination of tools you would need , nothing unnecessary. Although the product itself is manufactured in China , the company is a US based company that obviously has quality at the top of their priorities. This is the only product they make (per their website) and I hope they make other knives in the future as I would surely buy more products from them.

You get what you paid for.
It was ten bucks so I wasn't expecting much. The knife comes ok sharp but definitely not arm hair shaving sharp. The other accessories are fairly well built and sturdy, except for the scissors those are not very well constructed, they tend to flex and the spring underneath comes off track.
