The media could not be loaded.  MESO flakes - I've found these to be the perfect sand grain size. It's heavy enough that it won't blow around in a high flow setup, but the goby can still sift it thru his gills. The weight also makes it really easy to vacuum (although the goby takes care of that now). I definitely recommend this over live sand if you're willing to take the time to do a proper cycle.Make sure to give it a LONG rinse before putting it in the tank.After the water looks clear, I'd recommend rinsing for another 15 minutes. It's tough to see little floating particles when they're in a 5 gallon bucket but they're clear as day once they're floating around in the tank. If you do that, I think you'll be pleased with this sand. Good luck!

Disappointed that there are blue colored pieces in the mix. I would say about 3% ofThe bag. May not sound like much but when looking at my reef tank and seeing blue colored aquarium gravel looking pieces it’s quite disappointing. Yes took all the sand out couldn’t take it.

Good size, light washing took out most of the cloudiness.

Love the look of the sand very natural
