Rustic State Balloon Design Metal Light Cage Guard – Decorative Lamp Shade Black

I like these bulb guards and they look pretty cool in a ceiling fan, however, the 1.1 inch opening at the neck has two screws to each side that add on at least another half of an inch, which prevented them from fitting in the opening. I creatively was able to make it work any way. Also, it looks like I was sent at least two guards that had been used, because all of the screws were inconsistently in place; the neck area was bent on at least one of them, and one screw was completely stuck. I took the guard to Ace Hardware and they cut the screw off.

These are half the price of similar shades at the big box stores. I did have to make some spacers to get them to fit my lamp sockets. Didn't see that as a major problem since these are intended to be used for diy projects.

Be sure to inspect. Mine arrived broken and wire was tucked inside. It appears I received someone else’s return. Otherwise, it’s a cute touch to your decor at a reasonable price.

Love the look but not the easiest to put on without a lampshade ring collar.

First item received was poorly made. Seller contacted me to see if I was satisfied and sent a better one immediately. The wire bulb cage is cheaply made. They look good a and if are fine when installed.

Exactly as pictured. Love it!

Adding this to a simple floor lamp with a fancy bulb only, (also purchased on Amazon: O’Bright Industrial Floor Lamp for Living Room, 100% Metal Lamp), made the light even more attractive. Great buy!
