Some were too gooey, some made my hair feel crusty, and some didn't dare to hold up my hair (the top is like 3-4 inches). I also dance, exercise, etc, so I needed something that could hold up all day. I bought maybe 20 or so different options to try, took notes on each, and ranked them on the qualities I needed. Granted, everyone has different hair needs. For me though, this is an amazing product. It keeps the hair flexible, yet holds strong. It has a matte look and provides texture and spikiness without being crusty. It does not make my allergies go mad. It also washes out SUPER easily! Best of all, it has a delicious, vanilla-like fragrance that I just love to smell. Bonus points- I found out if applied on dry hair and I use a fine tooth comb or brush to brush my hair into shape, it will stay up all day with just the one product! Before, I was using a base volume product to blow dry hair, then add a second product. Now I can just let my hair air dry, and put a little of this in! The big jar is also an amazing value.
