Very cheap metal ... I managed to make it work
This tool threaded into my 2002 Honda Rubicon TRX500 FA clutch perfectly and tried to do all the things a puller should do. However, it stripped its own threads. None of the threads of the clutch stripped, this weak and cheap meatal puller stripped. How I made it work was, I threaded it in as far as it would go and welded it to the clutch in 4 spots (NEWS). Then it worked, but as I was ratchetting the bolt to pop the clutch off, it felt like that bolt was going to strip with every turn of my socket wrench. I was using a standard 1/2" socket wrench and NOT an extended "Johnson" bar.Extremely disappointed as I have another motor I want to rebuild and I will likely have to do the same thing to the other clutch with the puller. I really do not like the idea of welding on my clutch plate.I don't know what to suggest to you, the would-be shopper, except, have your welder handy JIC.

It’s a tool!
Received the puller in a “sealed “ bag, item looks to be used and returned, the first 3 threads of the puller are missing the “black” coating. I have been a mechanic for 35 plus years, I have seen a used tool or two. Does the puller work yes no complaints there. Is what it is!
