DO NOT BUY! Box was very worn and cookies looked as if the had melted before.
Wish I could return them. The box was worn when I pulled it out of the package, looked as if it had been shuffled around someone's pantry for years, I checked the date and they were in date through May of 2019 so I thought okay no big deal I guess. When we opened the box the cookies were miscoloroed and messy looking. They looked as if they had gotten hot and melted, likely been through many climate changes by the looks of them. We spent a year living in Belgium and fell in love with this type of cookie during our time there so I thought what a sweet add on to my husband's Valentine's gift but these were just a huge let down. Very disapointed and angry that I cannot return them. :/ also I chose qty.1 but the 2 box Package and only recieved 1 box of cookies.

Tastes great. Do the math on the prices.
Looks like the picture. Tastes great. Not melted (during summer). My only complaint is that I liked the minis better that I got in Europe. The minis tasted better, costed less, and they came in a yellow bag. The box shipped from Belgium although these are German cookies. The biscuit and chocolate on this cookie are thick and large enough to turn into a s’more. Also, the line “more chocolate than biscuit” is a lie. The chocolate layer is half the thickness of the biscuit.

Beware the weather!
I have lived these cookies my whole life. I lived abroad for a few years and they became a habitual staple with my coffee, and for sharing with friends. I was so excited to see the dark chocolate version on amazon, and ordered them right away.I live in South Central Texas, and it’s been a bit warm here, lately; and unfortunately, every box arrived completely melted. Luckily, it didn’t affect the flavor, merely the aesthetic appeal.I would suggest they consider shipping with some sort of disposable ice pack, but then, they may raise the cost so much it wouldn’t make sense to purchase them.I’ll order them again — when the weather cools off!

Lesson Learned; Don't Buy Chocolate Through Amazon When It's Warm
Melted chocolate & broken wafers. Ordering during winter would probably solve the melted chocolate but the broken wafers, not likely. As far as taste, I don't know how much different chocolate taste when it goes through uncontrolled repeated liquid and solid states. But it did taste more sugary than the milk chocolate I purchased from Costco. Weird, since this is dark chocolate.

Be aware of size of roll and difference in cookie texture!
These are about the size of a roll of Oreo's. They taste fine but not nearly so good as the original thicker, larger biscuits I expected. These are simply crispy little cookies, not the substantial not-so-sweet, spread with cocoa cream, good with coffee European biscuits of the same name/brand. Be aware of price per ounce. Know that if you ever bought these in a much taller roll in a local German market chain or overseas, you might be disappointed. I know I am. Aside from a few cracks, they did arrive intact. But I must conclude that someone found a large profit margin.

Unfortunate Cookie Surprise...
These are our favorite “special” cookies. Decided to order them via Amazon rather than running to different stores to locate some. The package with 3 boxes of cookies arrived on time and were packaged well. However after opening the individual boxes, it was clear that this batch had not been carefully stored and had melted (or had been frozen & thawed) at some point in their journey. The dark chocolate covering of the cookies appeared with hazy white film (called bloom).I will NOT order from this supplier again, especially as these cookies have a premium cost. Unfortunate & disappointing!!We will definitely buy these cookies again, as they are our favorite, but not in this manner.

Delicious crumbs
These are my favorite!! When living in Germany I bought these all of the time, so I ordered a package here for nostalgia. I was not disappointed in the flavor and texture. It was all that i remembered except that the package was not protected, so I just got a bag of crumbs! You would think that for this outrageous price, they would protect the bag better. Nope. I'm not ordering this again. It was not worth the price for crumbs.

DELICIOUS COOKIES (You get what you pay for.)
I had a problem with my order in that it somehow was never shipped based on tracking information from courier, but stuff happens. The seller responded to my issue with good customer service, and all is well that ends well. Moving on to the important matter -- quality of the product. These are VERY GOOD cookies -- made in Germany with high-quality, tastey ingredients (not so healthy for you, as many desserts are, so must exercise self-control & ration yourself to small portions). My box of 12 boxes expires 10/31/2019 -- 11+ months from the date I received, so they are VERY FRESH & GOOD! I will buy these again, but one problem is that the price just increased 9.4% which will cause me to look for an equally satisfying substitute treat/dessert.

Best Bahlsen Product!
I've used to get these in Germany quite often and was super happy when I saw that Amazon offered them as well.PRICE- They cost around 2.20EUR in Germany, I've paid £9.60 for a pack 6 which is £1.60 (current rate 1.80EUR) per pack- It is cheaper on Amazon than it is in a supermarket in GermanyPACKAGING- The packaging was fine and they came wrapped in another thick, plastic, so all were in good shape.- The language on the packaging seemed to be Hebrew (but not 100% sure)DELIVERY- Amazon Prime delivery, as always, very convenientTASTE- If you haven't had these biscuits before, you will want to try (addiction possible). They are for people with a sweet tooth but the chocolate is not overbearing.

Festive Collection.
This has quickly become a firm favourite and now we are approaching winter, it makes a nice gift box. Alternatively, you can just choose it as a good selection of the traditional "lebkuchen" biscuits. You get two layers wrapped separately and each contains a variety of iced or chocolate-coated lebkuchen in different shapes, as well as two small bars of individually-wrapped chocolate.Lebkuchen are often equated with gingerbread or are sometimes called "honey bread" -but they are nothing like the former and are soft with a gently spiced flavour - mostly cinammon, with almonds, citrus peel and some have honey or a soft cherry filling. Bahlsen are one of the most famous brands for this and are now well-known in the UK as a luxury biscuit maker, with German origins. These are totally unlike any British concept of biscuits, but can fulfil that function and are a very nice accompaniment to tea/coffee. Highly recommended for quality and variety.

Disappear very quick..
These seem to be faulty - as soon as you open a box they vanish in to thin air.. Who knows where they go to! Thank you Bahlsen for sharing your magic 🤣

Expensive
Took ages to arrive and whilst very tasty for the price it’s not worth the wait and the cost.
