Very durable. The lock is hard to turn and hinges are tight. It's big, bulky but I don't fear my radio being stolen from my jeep with my doors and windows off

product was easy to install and a great idea to protect your stereo. item is bulky, not streamlined like the factory dash piece so if you're looking for a polished look this product is not it. i personally think that it's a jeep so i'm ok with a sturdy looking dash, some people may not agree.

I saw some reviews saying that the item was bulky but it wasn’t as large as I thought it was going to be. It doesn’t take away from the look of my interior but that my be because my wrangler is black. It works well and is snug on the stereo. You’d have to give a good effort to try to get a stereo out when it’s locked. So much of an effort that you would definitely bring attention to yourself if you are trying to break in someone’s Jeep.

Unfortunately I've missed the return date by the time I got this installed. It's very large and bulky! I don't like the size and it doesn't work with my dash bar.

This unit was very easy to install. Take a few minutes to read the directions and sort out the screws, nuts and washers. If you have removed the factory system, installed an aftermarket double DIN head unit, and removed the metal brace from the firewall you will have to get some plastic plugs like the ones in license plate screw sets to secure the rear screws for the base installation. If you cut plastic from the dash to install your double DIN head unit, I’m not sure how you will secure the base. Recommend having an Allen wrench set and a ¼” drive socket set to speed up installation because there are self-locking nuts included.

Just installed on a 2010 with the factory 430N radio for when the top and doors are off. Installation was pretty simple, I just wish it would've told you how to remove everything to get to the back side of the radio to unplug the GPS antenna for when you relocate it. Overall pretty happy with it though, seems sturdy and secure and the tray on the top is nice to have now.

I bought this security system because I have the uconnect system in my jeep. We hike and kayak a lot, so at times the jeep is in the middle of no where while we are doing our activities. I feel secure in knowing the stereo can't be messed with. It's very easy to slide into position and when it's open it makes a great storage tray on the dash. Definitely a plus if you have a nice stereo you don't want stolen.

This product is nice however a pain to install and doesn't function very well its clunky and easy to fall off if it isnt locked when open
