## Description

DCT 4-Way Pressure Release Clamp – Wood Panel Corner Clamping System Woodworking Bracket Set – For Stock up to 6 Inches - desertcart.com

Review: very effective - I made my 4 way panel clamps with this kit using metal superstrut from the orang big box store and cone nuts. That probably cost a bit more than using hardwood cauls and the provided screws, but it seems more dimensionally stable and likely more long lasting. I found only two YouTube videos showing that configuration, but it also seems like these 4 way panel clamps are criminally underrated and under promoted. These were amazing on a 40 inch wide 3 slab glue up for a walnut slab. I used pipe clamps in between three of these to give more consistent pressure, but the panel clamps gave me an almost perfectly flat table top even with slight differences in slab thicknesses. I would buy these again and plan to get many years of use from them despite them being made of plastic. They are a little finicky to use, but deliver clearly superior results. I believe that thinner panels of 1 inch or less would benefit even more from these.
Review: Do yourself a favor, toss the plastic parts. - I just glued up a couple panels and the clamps worked great, this time. The first time, the metal mechanism popped out of the plastic notches. They are pretty much useless. The solution was drill holes in the wooden cauls and cut angled slots at about 45º, so the clamp slide in securely. We are woodworkers, right? You're gluing up your own panels? Got a couple tools to cut wood? I spent a few hours with my setup, including sanding. It was absolutely worth it. My advice is to ditch the plastic parts from the beginning and include some detailed instructions about how to drill and prepare your cauls. The best part is that you can set this up for just about any width panel you like. I even used a spacer for even pressure when I glued up a very thin panel of only 1/4".

## Features

- LARGE PANEL GLUE-UPS: The DCT 4-Way Pressure Release Clamp – Wood Panel Corner Clamping System Woodworking Bracket Set handles stock up to 6 inches (15.2cm) thick for simplifying the process of gluing table tops, countertops, furniture panels, cabinet doors, and more and saves you from using additional clamps to keep the glue-ups straight
- 4-WAY: Stock stays flat and prevents buckling of boards during glue-up because of the equally applied pressure from all four directions (top, bottom, and both sides); Ideal for gluing table tops, shelving, veneer, laminates; Durable clamp only limited by the quality of prep and glue used
- EASY TO USE: Assembly instructions included; More convenient than lining up standard clamps and cauls; Attach notched bars to any length 1.5-inch x 1.75-inch (3.2cm x 4.4cm) board (equivalent to a 2x4 ripped in half) with provided screws, set clamp and turn handle to tighten (on large pieces, we recommend one clamp every 18 inches/45.7cm for maximum clamping efficiency); Make sure the 2x4s you use are not twisted; Drill pilot holes for the outer-most screws when attaching the pressure pads
- ADJUSTS TO YOUR PROJECT: Build any length clamp with the durable plastic bars with 12 notches for maximum adjustability to handle a variety of stock widths; Clamp can be used for boards up to 6 inches in thickness by simply adjusting the clamp width capacity with the appropriate number of notches; Turn the handle to tighten the clamp and unwind the turn handle to release pressure; Clamp has pressure pads to prevent damage to the edge of your stock
- CONTENTS: Package includes (2) 12.75-inch long notch bars, (2) 6.9-inch long notch bars, (1) clamp assembly head, (1) clamp assembly tail, (16) assembly screws (4x 3/8-inch, 12x 1-1/4-inch L), and assembly instructions; 1 set with 1 clamp (multiples needed for projects over approximately 2 feet/61cm); Wood required, not included
