does it work with a computer?

You have 3 options.

Get an adapter to change the 1/4 jack on the cable to one that will plug into your computer's sound card. This is probably the lowest quality but cheapest option and most likely to get audio interference.

The second option is to get a cheap XLR to USB cable which should result in higher quality and less likely interference issues. There are tons of these cables, and the quality of their XLR to USB audio translation is hard to validate.

The 3rd option is to get a proper XLR to USB audio interface like the Focusrite Scarlett Solo. This is a more expensive, but professional option. It does seem odd to use a $15 mic with a $120 audio interface, but it is a really good option, and you can start with the cheap XLR to USB audio cable and step up later if needed. The audio interface is the only way to get direct monitoring of the microphone, which is very useful. You might also consider the much more expensive audio-technica atr2100x-usb microphone that has both XLR for use with an XLR to USB audio interface, but it also has a built in USB audio output as well as monitoring, so you can use it without the need for an additional $120 audio interface, but also upgrade to the audio interface option later if desired.

I bought a TASCAM US-2x2 USB audio interface to use with this microphone and it worked well until it died in less than a year and it turns out the companies warranty is terrible, so I am going to try the cheap XLR to USB cable as well as the audio-technica atr2100x-usb as an alternative to buying Focusrite Scarlett Solo to replace the TASCAM US-2x2 interface. I used this Pyle microphone for conference calls, streaming, and podcast recording. The quality was quite good and I got a lot of compliments on how it sounded, so I would say, it definitely works well with a computer.

Would this be okay for a 6 yr old?  She loves singing and wants a microphone for her birthday.

It should work fine for her.   It also comes with  15 ft. XLR-F to 1/4" male microphone cable.  So you would need to hook into a 1/4" input for microphone.

do u need a wire to use this?

It is packaged with a XLR to 1/4 " cable. Most sound systems will need an XLR male to XLR female commonly referred to as an "XLR cable".  The supplied cable can be used with USB/FireWire/Thunderbolt interfaces that have 1/4" inputs or a combo connector.

So, yes if you are plugging it into an interface.

Question 4

Will this amplify the voice if it is not plugged into an amp.  I was hoping to be able to plug into an iTouch or laptop.

The main thing is that his mic is high impedance like a guitar and should be used with instrument inputs with the included cable with th 1/4 phone plug.  If you use a typical cable with x!r on both ends into a microphone input which is low impedance, you get a low hum/buzz depending on your digital interface or preamp.  Will also work with a guitar amp unlike low impedance mic.
