COVERAGE OF KEMIKO STONE TONE CONCRETE STAIN IS APPROX : 400-800 SQ FT A GALLON DEPENDING ON THE SUBSTRATE ON HAND. KEMIKO STONE TONE CONCRETE STAIN, is a single component reactive stain that transforms an ordinary concrete slab into a luxurious floor that resembles marble or glazed stone at a fraction of the cost. Stone Tone Concrete Stain is an acid base, single component product that provides a decorative, low maintenance floor finish, and is 0-VOC. This specially formulated stain chemically bonds metallic ions with the lime component in the concrete to form various colors that are permanent. Stone Tone Stain transforms an ordinary concrete slab into a luxurious floor at a fraction of the cost as compared to marble or glazed stone. APPLICATIONS: Stone Tone Concrete Stain may be applied to properly prepared and thoroughly cleaned concrete and cement/plaster materials that contain sufficient cement/lime necessary for a color reaction. Typical applications include driveways, patios, walkways, entrances, dining areas, rock work, and many other interior/exterior applications that desire a quality cost-effective color enhanced floor appearance. Plastic garden sprayers and a medium to stiff bristle brush are the best ways to put down this product. KEMIKO STONE TONE CONCRETE STAIN reacts with minerals already present in the concrete, the look and feel of natural stone. Each concrete slab accepts the stain in varying degrees of intensity, creating stunning, multi-hued color variations and an uneven surface that looks perfectly aged. Stone Tone Stain adapts to enhance any setting

Worked as expected.
This was my first time attempting to stain concrete. I chose the English Red because it was described as a soft brown and that is what I wanted. However, it was more red than brown. It was more like the red stain that you see when rusty water is leaving stains on a sidewalk/house. There was enough stain to cover my 16 x 20 stamped concrete patio. Using a sprayer I applied one coat, went over it again, then decided to add some brown. I bought a brown wood stain and swirled it around the centers of each stone. I love the results. I am really happy with the results. I also applied a sealer.

Did not work well for me
It didn't seem to have any chemical reaction with concrete, no foaming. It did tint the concrete, but looks to be due to pigment in the product, not due to any acid treatment. Had better luck with big box cheap stain, even wood stain seemed to work better. I have used this product many years back and it was great, not so much now. I won't be purchasing again.

Excellent product
Excellent product. Am single and retired and completed the project by myself. I am very happy with the results to 15 year old concrete even though I was not able to get all of the old stains up - just think it gives it character. Very easy to apply with a gallon all plastic garages sprayer I had on hand. Also used the Kemiko sealer which was also excellent and easy to use.

reliable
I've used the black walnut on the concrete in the dining room, common room, 2 bedrooms and a hallway in my house. It's a great product and has held up well with dogs, kids, heavy traffic, etc. I recommend going to the Kemiko website and going through the tutorials on how to do concrete staining with their products. It's a steep learning curve the first time, but after you do it once, you get better after that. I recommend doing one room, sort of off the beaten path, first - then, adjust accordingly and do the other rooms you want to do. I sprayed this stain out of a cheap garden sprayer, used 2 coats, and then a sealer (after washing with a deck broom with a water/amonia mix to neutralize the acid).

Not what we hoped for
Didn't work as well as we hoped. We followed all the directions and applied it to freshly resurfaced concrete. As the pictures show, it turned out very splotchey and more importantly orange instead of brown. The 3rd picture is after we applied green to it (as recommended) trying to tone down the orange. It helped some, but ended up using half strength black over all of it. I'm leaving a review for the "black" stain as well but the 2nd picture we used the "black" along the edge of the driveway.

Wonderful product
I gave this a try on a five-year-old concrete slab around my pool I did all the preparations as stated the instructions and used a sprayer to apply the product I was a little nervous going into this not sure what I was getting into but the end result is absolutely perfect. This is exactly what I was looking for the color came out a little darker than I thought but I am still pleased with the end result
