Well-Designed and Just the Right Size for Daily Use
I absolutely love the Bellroy Lite Sling Mini in Ash. It's become one of my favorite everyday carry items. The size is just right, compact and minimal, yet surprisingly spacious for the essentials. I can easily fit my phone, wallet, keys, hand sanitizer, and a few extras without it ever feeling bulky. The ash color is subtle but unique, giving the sling a clean, modern look that pairs effortlessly with almost any outfit. The lightweight fabric makes it super comfortable to wear for long periods, and I love how the material feels both durable and soft to the touch. The build quality is excellent, just what you'd expect from Bellroy, smooth zippers, smart layout, and attention to detail throughout. It’s great for walks, errands, or quick outings when I don’t want to carry a full bag. I also really appreciate the way it molds to the body and doesn’t feel awkward when worn across the chest or back. Practical, stylish, and incredibly well-designed, I couldn’t be happier with it.

Excellent Travel Waist Bag – Spacious, Durable, and Practical!
This waist bag is perfect for traveling! The quality is outstanding — the material feels durable and the zippers are smooth and strong. It has plenty of compartments to keep everything organized, from passport and phone to wallet and keys. It’s comfortable to wear and fits securely around the waist without feeling bulky. Very practical for both city tours and outdoor adventures. I’m really happy with this purchase and highly recommend it to anyone who travels often.

A perfect day to day Sling (especially with Ipad mini)
Have been using it for a week traveling and it seems like the perfect Sling. Light and easy to clean as well, comfortable on the back and keeps slim on the body. Materials are high quality, the zippers are waterproof with rubber which makes them a bit harder to open and close. The strap is just right for the weight it carries. I'm left handed so the buckle is on the opposite side for me which makes it harder to get to so I just take of the hole thing over my head. I can fit everything I need for everyday city travel - A small wallet, 10000mah Battery Pack, hand sanitizer, Airpods, Lip balm, Ipad Mini, and a collapsible Water Bottle (Hydrapak 500ml). The sling is on it's max capacity with these items and is a bit bulky. Sometimes I hook the water bottle on the outside using a small carabiner and then it becomes easier to put and take out items and also much less bulky. I have a small 2L sling that was too small and this 4L slign is just perfect.

Sturdy and chic, but room for improvement
Bellroy makes sturdy, chic bags and this is my third one, but there's always a flaw or two that prevent me from really loving them. I bought this 4L mini sling to replace a 2L belt bag from another brand; I wanted something just a little bit bigger for every day that would still wear similarly to a belt bag so that i could open it up with one hand and not worry about stuff spilling out while I walk. My main complaint is that the pockets are not very practical. On the inside, there's a zip pocket in the back and a slip pocket on one the side. The zip pocket is big, a logical place to put all the odds and ends you don't want floating loose in the bag, but the single slip pocket isn't big enough for the things I need to access regularly on the go like my wallet, hand sanitizer, and chapstick. It would be better with two slip pockets, one on each side. On the outside of the bag, there's a single front pocket with a zipper. Bizarrely, it is not big enough to hold a sunglasses case or a standard size iPhone, because the zipper is smaller than the pocket itself and you can't get it in past the zipper. So the two things you're most likely to need quickly can't go in the quick access pocket. The front pocket also weirdly has a lanyard for your keys - who wants their keys making a big lump in the front of an otherwise sleek bag? It took me a while to figure out how the bag expands. You have to move both zippers to the middle, so it's open on both sides, to get the full expansion. Once you fill up the bag, then you can close the zippers and it'll stay expanded. If you unzip one side, that side will stay expanded while you take out whatever you need and replace it. I wish it had a zip pocket in the back so I could keep items such as a passport or cash secure next to my body; I wouldn't use this bag for travel for that reason. It is big enough to hold a small 6oz water bottle, which is nice. I love the concealed pouch for an Airtag. Overall I'd say this is the best bag available for my needs, but it could definitely be improved.

Solid bag for travel
I bought this bag and the Baggallini that was a similar size and I kept this bag for a recent trip to Japan. I preferred this bag because it has less rightness to it. I was able to fit the day to day items I needed, plus a little more since the bag expands a bit. Day to day I carried in the zippered compartment inside bag, my passport and cardholder. One day I had 3 passports stored. In the main compartment I had a notebook for my stamps, tissues, cellphone & cellphone charger (not pictured), wipes and sunglasses. I was able to store a bottle of greentea but I only did that one day. The outer compartment I had chapstick, pen and loose coins. I felt the Baggallini bag was heavier and didn’t move with me when I wore it like a sling. I did like the zipper security on it along with the zipper function. I also didn’t like the extra fabric on the sides of the Baggallini.

If you're open to pre-loved, score one for 30-50% less
I sported the current generation made from DuraLite nylon for about 1.5 weeks. The carry was efficient. I came from an Aer Day Sling 2, which when packed out, felt like a long brick on one's back or chest. I tried the Alpaka Tech Sling and the Mini as well as the Aer Slim Pouch 2 (1.5L). I also tried out the Bellroy Sling Mini in Melbourne black. It has a texture where it'd be a lint trap. Things I like: - lightweight fabric - cavernous main compartment, fits Nintendo Switch easily - long key strap - 4L seems like a lot: one could fit a travel size umbrella, a regular wallet, a small phone, mints, hand sanitizer and soft-covered sunglasses. Things I don't like: - price, expensive for what it is. Bellroy is banking on its brand image to upcharge. - zipper pulls are ugly. - last generation had a better shoulder strap of seat belt fabric. That being said, the Shadow fabric which is diamond ripstop polyester seems to hold a flatter structure when partially filled compared to the Duralite black fabric. Shadow is a previous iteration of this same Lite Sling Mini. The Shadow fabric is just slightly heavier than the current gen (2025) black. This sling is less oblong than the other style, Aer Day Sling 2, Bellroy Venture Sling 2.5L, and Code of Bell X-Pod II. Fits my EDC needs now.

A year later, still in love with this!
I love this thing. I’ve been using it for over a year now and it doesn’t even show signs of wear. I just throw it in the washer and it comes out perfect. Wore it everywhere for a month long trip in Europe and it held everything I needed and I loved the extra pockets. Sits nicely against the body and so I felt safe that my items were close to me. Love the magnetic clip, it allowed me to wrap it around handle bars and stuff and then re-secure so it wasn’t going to get grabbed if I wasn’t paying attention. It’s worth it and I would buy other ones from this brand or even another color in the same thing!

Small lightweight practical sling
This was a perfect bag for our recent trip to Europe. I was looking for a lightweight, small sling to wear along with my travel backpack. The lack of structure was perfect for my needs although I wouldn't have minded one more slim zippered pocket opposite from the one already inside. If I took my packable day pack on a day trip, I could use this as an organizer inside the larger pack. What I fit inside--passport & slim wallet in inside zippered pocket; lip balm/sunscreen in tiny inside pocket; 500 ml water flask, protein bar, sunglasses, small battery charger in main compartment; iPhone in outer zippered pocket. Love the 2-way zipper--very practical.

Near Perfect Sling with only a small amount of annoyances.
I saw someone wearing this out and about, and it looked great. It was already on my radar and I use a Bellroy Market tote regularly, so decided to take the plunge. I use this as an EDC carry. Normally in the outside smaller pocket, I have my keys on the bungee keyleash, an Airtag and some mints. In the inner pocket, I have a canvas tote rolled up, a Tide Pen, pocket tissue, and a 5000w powerbank. I'll often slip my iPhone 14 Pro inside, with room to spare. On longer days, I'll rearrange this so I can fit a water bottle inside too. In the smaller pocket inside, I place my cardholder, and sometimes my sunglasses in a sleeve. Overall, everything I need as an EDC. The Good I'm a huge fan of the seat-belt style strap which is just about the right width, and especially the slimline magnetic buckle. I had concerns about it being a weak magnet, but I've yet to see this accidentally unstrap. I'm also a big fan of the ripstop style material used - it feels quality and waterproof (especially with the heat-shrink wrapped ends and YKK zippers). Branding is minimal, and the design is very refined, so looks good across most outfits. It packs relatively flat and I'm able to cram this into any bag when travelling, but also fit a large amount of stuff in the sling itself because of the expandable/gusset design. I'm also a big fan of the loop on the outside - I can imagine this being used for a bike light or to store a carabiner. The Bad I wear the bag 'goofy' on my right shoulder. While the larger pocket has reversible zippers, the smaller outer pocket zip only goes one way, which isn't the direction I'd like to open it. At the same time, the buckle is also not reversible, so it ends up behind my shoulder blade and isn't easy to adjust - so like many others I will take it off completely instead of unbuckling. The design of the bag does mean there can be a small gap where rain can get in but that is why the bag can expand quite significantly. That said, even though it carries a lot, I think organisation could be improved inside the main pcoket. Specifically I'd also like a more lined/padded inner zipped compartment for sunglasses, and if it was an inch wider and had a brighter lining to see into, this bag would be an instant recommend. As well, it does feel like it can get dirty and oily easily although dirt can wipe off easily. I also do take issue with the product photography on this with the water bottle - while it has a good amount of capacity when expanded - it is smaller than a normal sized water bottle. Overall Very happy with this sling. I wouldn't say this is the cheapest or best value for money sling that you can buy, but it looks good - has very considered features, and is largely well designed. Very happy with this as a daily carry, even when I need to pack it out - but wouldn't say this is value for money. I think a few tweaks (reversible strap and zippers, bungee'd organisation inside, slightly wider inner pocket) and this would be the perfect sling.

Choose this after a lot of deliberation and comparing
I did so much research online, narrowed it down to a few bags that fit all my criteria. Bought this, the tomtoc and the lululemon bag, returned the other two immediately. -This has a better fit, hugs the body and stays flat against my chest, has more room than the other two bags and is super packable if you want to store it away in a backpack. -The two way zipper system is interesting, I have no strong feelings for or against it. The slight opening left by this zipper style doesn't bother/affect me at all. -Material doesn't attract dust so far. The rain guard seems like it will do its job. -Magnetic buckle is a neat idea, but perhaps not as secure compared to a regular buckle, but is definitely slimmer so you never notice it. -Quality seems good. Blends in with any outfit without sticking out at all. Very minimalistic and not flashy, I like that. Just the perfect size to relieve all of my pockets and then some. Any bigger and I might as well put on a backpack. Very happy with my purchase!
