Premium ingredients but too pricey
So I’ve tried Truvani Chocolate and Vanilla, and the Vanilla won out by far as the best vanilla protein I’ve ever had (chocolate flavor felt. a bit off). This is the only vanilla protein powder that tastes of actual natural vanilla, and I’ve tried tons of brands of plant protein. I love that the vanilla flavor is complementary and subtle, rather than overpowering. It makes the best plant protein smoothie I’ve ever had, which is a large bullet cup filled with bananas & strawberries (both frozen/sliced), unsweetened unflavored organic almond milk, and vanilla truvani. Make sure it’s blended long enough and that enough almond milk is used… if done right it makes the best milkshake ever with no grittiness. Tastes sooo indulgent but is so healthy. I can’t get enough. You can’t beat the minimal ingredients in this. No gums, probiotic additives, fillers, or flavoring besides the ingredients themselves. So many plant proteins try to do the most and brand their powder as “superfoods” which just ends up being way too much on the stomach. I love that Truvani is simple, and all organic too. Now for the negative… it’s not very affordable. If they lowered the price $10, I think they’d sell far more and make even more than they do. Paying $50 for 20 servings is hard in this economy. I recognize that high quality isn’t cheap, but I still feel they could profit at $40. Maybe I’m wrong… thankfully Whole Foods has it on a big sale sometimes which is when I will try to buy it. Overall, fantastic plant protein… my favorite thus far. But expensive. I’d buy way more if it was cheaper.

So good
I would say this is the best protein powder i've ever tried. My cousin is a nutritionist and recommended 2 different protein powders for me to try. I got both and I half expected them to be bland because she eats super clean. The other powder she recommended was awwwwful but this one is delicious! I want to get all the flavors and put them in everything. Blends perfectly, no texture issues, no after taste issues. Just delicious. I'd give it 6 stars if I could.

Great Vegan Protein Powder – Best When Blended
Truvani is a top-notch protein powder brand with several amazing flavors, and this vanilla vegan option is no exception! It’s an excellent choice for anyone avoiding dairy and its derivatives, and the flavor is smooth, clean, and not overly sweet. It blends beautifully into my smoothies — no chalky aftertaste, and it pairs well with fruits and veggies. However, I wouldn’t recommend using it in a shaker bottle alone. It tends to have a slightly gritty texture when not fully blended, which may be especially noticeable for those (like me!) with sensory sensitivities or ADHD. That minor issue aside, this is a fantastic plant-based protein and a great addition to any smoothie routine. Four stars for the shaker texture, but five stars for flavor and blendability in a proper smoothie!

High Lead, Hidden Lab Tests, and Cheap Sourcing. Don't Fall for the Hype.
If a company is going to base their entire brand on being 'transparent' and calling out other food brands, they need to back it up. Truvani doesn't. First, an independent review found high amounts of lead in this protein, which is why it carries a California Prop 65 warning. The brand’s excuse is that 'lead is naturally occurring in the soil.' If you are charging this much for a 'premium' and 'clean' product, find cleaner soil or a better farm. Plenty of other protein powders at this exact same price point do not have a Prop 65 lead warning. It proves they are just getting cheap crap and upcharging us for the branding. Second, the protein quality itself is highly questionable. I actually noticed my muscles getting softer and losing definition after switching to this from my old brand. I felt like I wasn't getting the protein my body needed. Now it makes sense: they absolutely refuse to publish their Amino Acid Profile or their raw Certificate of Analysis (COA) batch tests. Without an amino acid profile, we have no idea if they are amino-spiking the powder with cheap fillers. We don't actually know how much real, usable protein is in here. Add in the fact that it doesn't even mix well and stays clumpy, and this is a hard pass. Don't waste your money.
